Provides an aged appearance A soft paste wax, blended from three types of wax which gives treated surfaces an excellent shine. It provides a resilient protective layer against water, dust, dirt and a variety of commonly found household contaminants. LTP Antique Wax comes ready to use and is easily applied by cloth before polishing to a finish. Suitable for use on travertine, limestone, sandstone, slate, tumbled marble, flamed and rough cut granite, terracotta, quarry and brick. Maintain with LTP Waxwash on floors and LTP Stonewash on walls. Medium brown wax for ageing quarry tiles,terracotta and stone. Provides resilient protective layer against water, dust & dirt Directions for use The surface to be treated should be completely, clean, dry and any pre-polish sealer thoroughly cured. Stir well. Apply sparingly with a soft fluff-free cloth ensuring that the area of application is manageable. Quickly buff wax to a shine using a short haired brush, soft cloth or mechanical polisher. Please Note: When using LTP Antique Wax on higher absorbency floors, the wax may be absorbed into the surface unevenly, consequently proving difficult to shine. Therefore, when treating such floors, it may be necessary to reduce the absorbency by pre-applying a suitable impregnating sealer. LTP Antique Wax can be applied to surfaces that have been impregnated with LTP Boiled Linseed Oil, Stone Oil, Mattstone and Colour Intensifier. The type of impregnator used will depend on the type of material that is being sealed. Established in 1984 and made in South West England, LTP are major brand for sealing, cleaning and maintenance products for tiles and stone. Other products by LTP ; Intensive Cleaners, Impregnating and Surface Sealers, Waterbased Sealers, Waxes, Aftercare, Worktop Fireplace Care Tools The history of LTP however, goes back nearly 40 years when Anthony Robb, owner of Wellington Tile Company started to import terracotta from Portugal and recognising the need for an ageing liquid to give the tiles an antique finish, he went home, mixed up a secret brew in his cement mixer, bottled it in 1 ltr jerry cans and branded the new sealer as LTP OLDTONE OIL. A few weeks later the cement mixer was in action again, this time concocting a clear finish sealer LTP CLEARTONE. The terracotta was sold as Lionheart Terracotta so the range of sealers became known as Lionheart Terracotta Products, or LTP for short. Today, production has moved away from the cement mixer to a specialist chemical packing company and then sold direct to the customer, cutting out the need for an agent. This means that LTP can offer a concise range of reasonably priced sealers, cleaners and maintenance products that are easy to apply. All of this is backed up with a technical help line, web site, literature and product guides. LTP have own research and development department, which enables to adapt all products to address the challenges of ever-changing flooring specifications and legislation. I have tried several products over 20 years on (Fired Earth) kitchen floor tiles - they have all worked a bit but the final product has always been a little disappointing. This product is the best I found to date - it doesn't discolour the tiles or leave an unsightly residue (as users of some alternatives have claimed). I found giving it some energetic elbow grease shortly after application does produce a decent shine.
