Coffee at Luke's: An Unauthorized Gilmore Girls Gabfest (Smart Pop)

It's an absolute must have for any Gilmore Girls fan. After the depressive mood that the end of season 7 left us with by bringing with it the end of the show, Coffee at Luke's brings Stars Hollow back to our lives making sure that no details about life in this charming little town are left forgotten.It's a practical Gilmore Girls manual. I was afraid this book would be nothing but a repetition of all I knew about GG already, after having devotedly seen all seven seasons of the show. Instead, I came upon a pleasant writing, offering a different view of the show. An outside, real life view, not a fictional Stars Hollow citizen one. As being the Pop Culture references one of the major highlights of this show, the reference glossary on the back of this book will delight any pop culture fan and remind us of Amy Sherman-Palladino's wittily written dialogues that Lorelai and Rory gave life to.

My best friend and I are both GG fans, and I have enjoyed some (not all) of Jennifer Crusie's books. I hoped this would be a fun gift, and it was. She loved the variety of commentary. I'm hoping she'll lend it to me someday soon.

I'm an honorary Gilmore girl, which means I read as much as I can related to the series. This is basically a good book, insightful and mostly well researched opinions with one massive error. Stars Hollow is a fictional town in the real state of Connecticut. NOT New England! At least two of the chapters consistently reference New England and while the two states are similar, the authors may as well have said Vermont. If you can ignore those errors, it's an enjoyable and fun book.

I loved this book. I am a nerd, a self deprecating nerd. This looked at several sides of the show, the relationships, the food, the dialogue... It was so nice to see that there are other nerdy people writing these essays. Its a very easy read and would be a fun asset for anyone who is a fan of Gilmore Girls.

As much as I loved the Gilmore Girls, this book was a snooze and I read the last half of it while sleeping.

I bought this for my mom as part of her Christmas gift this year, it arrived within two days and I think it's going to be perfect. We're both huge Gilmore fans, I'm kind of jealous that she owns the book and not me! Recommended for all Gilmore Girls fans, it looks like an interesting book just by flipping through it.

I bought this as a gift for a dear friend of mine who has a soft spot in their heart for Gilmore Girls and this author. She absolutely adored it! Worth the five stars if you've got a taste for both of these things.

To me this was a collection of summaries/perspectives on several topics related to the Gilmore girls show. Some of the chapters were merely summaries of what actually occurred with no value added info. I really wanted to to like the book and bought it in hopes of extending my recent binge watch of the series. Not a keeper.

I loved hearing from other people who love Gilmore girls and their different perspectives.
