YAXI EARPADS for Koss PORTAPRO 2Pairs+Pouch ((Black+Orange)+Pouch)

Just superb really. A nicely presented set and arguably a must-have upgrade for your PortaPros. I thought it might be a bit of a gimmick but these things are unbelievably comfortable on the ears and feel really well made, by a company that cares. The pads are bigger and thicker than the originals, obviously - but they feel much more significant in quality too. Installation is easy enough, you just need to pull your old pads up and away from the ‘teeth’ holding them on and then do it in reverse for your Yaxis. They should bite onto the lip on the new pads very easily with little to no adjustment. They were a touch pricier than I was expecting but when you compare the price of a single pair vs two pairs and a decent bag to keep your phones in, I’d say it’s not a bad deal at all, especially for such an essential upgrade. I went for Black and Orange and that orange absolutely pops and nails the retro aesthetic. Serious audiophiles may quibble about how the sound is changed because of the pad size and thickness, but I didn’t see any significant changes out of the box - perhaps a little less treble and a touch more bass. I’d recommend looking up some EQ settings to get you in the sweet spot regardless. Theres some online specifically tailored for Portas with Yaxi pads and they’ve elevated the already great sound to an even higher standard. Yeah, get a pair of these!

Sound quality was substantially better, but I don’t really have anything to compare it to besides stock cushions. It came with an extra carrying case and two really cool Y2K futuristic promotional note sized flyers and handful of stickers. The aesthetic and quality of both product and extra swag were more than enough to justify the price tags. The fit was amazing and much more comfortable than stock. Highs and mids were redefined and in my opinion, much better in range and sound definition because of it. My only issue was how much oil and skin debris these would carry, but that’s a given for this type of material and the headphones themselves. For that reason I can’t recommend these for working out or runs. These are way too nice so definitely make them last!

These work great. Very soft and nice quality. *NOTE: If you are using them on the Koss KSC75 they are quiet a bit larger (thicker) than the stock ear pad. It makes it a little trickier getting the clip over your ear. But they look and feel good. They sound great of course too!

Compré un par inicial para mis Koss Portapro. Estas las pedí para mis nuevos Koss KPH40; le dan aún mas espacialidad al audio y mejoran el confort, para traerlos puestos por mucho más tiempo. La calidad de la esponja es superior a otros que he probado. Muy satisfecho con la compra. La cajita trae, además, la bolsita de tranporte, que es está más padre en vivo que en las fotos, y el mini póster. Si tienes unos Koss no dudes, vale totalmente la pena.

They are so much more comfortable than the earpads that came with my KOSS headphones.
