Delicious Moist Chocolate Cake
This gluten free, nut free, dairy free- cake mix- feels like an answer to prayer! Wow!!! I've struggled so much to bake for my little one, who has had allergies and not been able to enjoy cakes and biscuits as much as his friends without allergies can. All the cakes I tried to bake were either too dry or too wet. I was almost about to give up with baking all together. After trying for so long and then a few days ago, I stumbled upon this brand! Cake mixes never occured to me because I have always baked organic and from scratch. We made the chocolate cake, using the cake mix the afternoon it had arrived. Not only was it fun for us to bake together, but it was so easy, we used melted organic coconut oil and organic oat milk and whipped up the batter, allowing lots of air in to make the texture mouse like. We baked it on gas mark 4, for about 35 mins, left to cool for 30 mins and decorate with chocolate icing and sprinkles. My son was so happy to finally try a delicious, chocolately, moist cake, he had a chocolate moustache! The cake itself is not overly sweet, so it goes perfect with a bit of sweet icing. I will be buying more. I just couldn't recommend this cake mix enough and wish I knew it existed years ago! I asked so many people about gluten free, dairy free baking. And looked up and tried so many recipes but no one had ever recommended this to me. That's why I am taking the time to write this review! The ingredients are good too and not too many. I will be buying again!

Delicious and very easy to make .
So easy to make - you need carrots, oil ,water, and I use lemon juice not vinegar and add raisins too. The mixture of spices is sublime - I have made this 3 times and it takes longer to cook in my oven but the result it a very moist and spiced cake which freezes well too . I never add icing or cream cheese topping because it’s more calories and sugar and the lovely cake doesn’t need it in my opinion - I thought I might try pumpkin instead of carrot one time too . Definitely recommend.

Overall a very good ‘alternative’ produce
Yummy for an alternative cake mix (one of the better ones we’ve tried). Moist, although still a little ‘gritty’ tasting (typical alternative flour). However, I think with some other added ingredients e.g. bananas? It may change it for the better? Overall very nice for what it is

Worked for me! Mix well, bake at 160°, couldn’t fault it!
I used 2 packs with oatmilk & coconut oil and was very pleased with the results! I let my mixer do its thing for 2 minutes to get some air in the mixture as another review said they don’t rise much and the instructions don’t mention mixing well - i think all packet mixes benefit from a good mix. I got 23 cupcakes (using a medium icecream scoop) and baked at 160° fan (gluten free needs lower/slower baking) for 20 minutes and they were perfect! Good rise and light cakey texture. Topped with a swirl of vegan buttercream. Yum! Would definitely use again!

Perfect pudding
Very easy gluten free pudding, doesn’t rise so don’t use a wide tray I use a normal loaf size tray and when cool I turn out on a plate and smother with salted caramel sauce,

Why are eggs not pictured with the required ingredients?!
Nowhere on the packet (that I can see) does it say that you need to add eggs!! There are little pictures of butter and milk and I did think to myself ‘hmmm, no eggs?’ But I figured I should trust the packet and just do what it says. And they came out yummy but completely falling apart. So I think they really need to put this on the packet in the instructions - a picture of a couple of eggs as well! Otherwise it’s got a lovely taste.

Horrid. Avoid.
I made the cakes exactly as instructed on the packet in an oven that has never had problems with other gluten free mixes (Betty Crocker, Tesco own brand, Dove farm), and it came out absolutely horrible. I measured/weighed everything properly, and followed the instructions to the letter, and I got a horrible mealy and gritty cake. Gluten free cakes tend to be dry, but this was so dry and crumbly it was more like a ship's biscuit than a cake. It was not nearly sweet enough to be cake, it was more like a tough corn bread. Everybody who tried it hated it. The packaging is also wasteful, why do you ship me a box, with another decorative colour printed cardboard box inside, with then two plastic packets inside? That's totally wasteful for no reason. I can't stress just how unpleasant this cake mix was, even the worst driest store bought cake would be better than this.
