Proper Power - Simple Interface, Easy Child-Lock Removal and (if you need) Dimensions.
I am going from an OLD B&D 1000w, 1.1CuFt microwave to this new Sharp unit. I am amazed at how quiet it works and how much more powerful this new unit is in comparison to the old. I also noticed the carousel tray rotates at a faster speed, if that even matters. The functionality of this unit overall is excellent in all ways. This well built, solid microwave is good looking with its sleek lines and simple interface. The push button door opener is new to me also and I like it better than having a grab handle. The child-lock is SUPER easy to disable and Sharp has placed instructions on a label attached to the outside of the door. This child-lock feature is a LAW and obviously, Sharp understands that nobody actually uses it and provides these simple instructions conspicuously on the door. For those that it matters: I have a very specific cabinet shelf that is sized rather tight. I needed a microwave that was no taller than 12" and needed to sit on a 12" deep shelf. This unit DOES NOT meet this need. The height is fine at 11.8" but the feet on the underside need a depth of 13" to sit properly. I am a woodworker and was able to easily add an extra 1 1/4" to my shelf, but I didn't want to do this and was hoping this unit would fit. It does not. The advertised dimensions otherwise are spot on. In closing, this is an excellent microwave that works great and is easy to operate. An Excellent Value For The Money - Highly Recommended

Great simple microwave
Great microwave . Not a lot of bells and whistles which is great for us. A little tricky to get door open but still great appliance at a great price

Great microwave for the price
Nice microwave. When you push the button to open it squeaks which is annoying. Does have lots of different features and cleaning is easy. Defrosting is easy and it doesn’t burn my popcorn. Fits perfectly in my small space. I only gave it 4 stars because of the squeaky noise every single time you open.

Great Replacement for My GE Microwave - Sharp Wins the Day! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Note to Amazon: This microwave arrived safely but was delivered by USPS — and wow, it’s heavy! For future orders, please consider UPS or FedEx for something this size. My mail carrier and my back would both appreciate it. Now, onto the good stuff — this SHARP countertop microwave is absolutely fantastic. I replaced my 2-year-old GE that broke far too soon, and this one has been a breath of fresh air. It feels solid, looks sleek in stainless steel, and has an impressive amount of power for its compact size. The 12.4" carousel turntable is removable and easy to clean, and the controls are intuitive (no squinting or guessing required). Food heats evenly, popcorn pops perfectly, and leftovers actually taste good again. It’s also quieter than my old one, which is a big plus when I’m reheating coffee at 6 a.m. Two things to note: 1. The Unlock key must be pushed for the door to open to retrieve heated item. Solution: If you would like to disable the safety feature. You can do so by pressing the keys 7,9, then 0 (hold the 0 for 3 seconds). This action will disable the safety lock. The lock will remain disengaged until manually activated again. Which can be accomplished by repeating the disabled steps. 2. LED Interior light is very nice but not bright. Meaning after being accustomed to very bright interior lighting, this will seem dim. Still very nice! If you’re debating between brands, I can confidently say SHARP nailed it with this model. It’s powerful, efficient, and built like a tank — exactly what I needed after my GE gave up early. Highly recommend!

Very pleased!
Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. When my last Sharp, a stainless steel 1100 watt that I bought in 2008 went bad on me, it was a no-brainer. However, prices and features are a lot different than they were in 2007. I basically got the same microwave I had just a step down with newer features, which I really like. and I like the simple interface. One thing though, I'm legally blind, so I have to put locator dots on my most used settings. Nevertheless, it's still very easy for me to use. I like the smaller size, I don't really need the larger one and it looks just as slick as my old one. Here's hoping it lasts as long,

30 year replacement oven just as amazing
We bought this to replace our last Sharp Microwave that just gave up the ghost out of the blue. When we took the old one out the manufacture date was 1996! Yea a 30 year old microwave oven- doesn't owe me a cent. I went with a very similar model (size wise) and figured if it last another 30 years it would be money well spent. It arrived quickly and was well packed with zero damage to the box and unit. Unfortunately Sharp has changed the carousel design slightly over the last 30 years and my old plate doesn't fit with the new oven (oh well it is not like I ever swapped out plates anyway). The new LED lighting inside is amazing. The oven is SOOOO quiet (we never realized how loud the old one was). It heats a lot faster and has the express push button feature that I love (press the 2 and it turns on for 2 minutes). Such a handy easy to use oven. The only real dislike is the child lock feature (which can be disabled very easily)which we leave enabled as we have young grand kids living with us. Sharp has made amazing products for a very long time and it is nice to see that tradition continue.

Great microwave, easy to disable child door lock
Excellent microwave. Cooks evenly, looks great. Here's something I love, the popcorn button works perfectly with Orville Redenbacher which is a feature advertised on more expensive models only but seems to have leaked down to this model too (despite no advertising for it). I tested it... Perfect. The annoying child safety door lock is super easy to disable and *remains disabled* even if the microwave loses power. I've yanked the power and tested this. It's just like Sharp said. (Press 7 then 9, then hold 0 until it beeps). PS this is a new regulation for any microwave sold in the US after March 2024. Personally I think it's a bit nanny state to force manufacturers to ship microwaves with it enabled by default rather than optional afterwards... But it is what it is. Sharp make it super easy to disable and they even put a very large sticker on the microwave showing you how to do it. I think the company realise how annoying this "feature" is for people without kids, so they did their best to help us out. I dropped a star because closing the door seems a bit louder than usual, I feel like they could have dampened the closing a bit.. To me it's no big deal though.
