1/4"-3/4" M2 Step Drill Bit Unibit for Hole Drilling 5 Sizes

Worked better than I expected drilling through 1/4” steel plate. The steps are with enough distance to stop and also get a clean even cut through when dealing with a 1/4” thickness. The product label contradicts Amazon description regarding stainless hardened steal, so I was surprised it drilled well!

I had to drill a 5/8 hole in thick plastic. First bit I tried I had to send back. It just ate up the plastic. I could only do this with a hand held drill. This bit did the job. Very sharp and gave a clean hole with my hand held drill. I would recommend using a drill press when possible. I had to practice to make this work before cutting my main hole. Nice well made bit.

Bought this bit to drill 3/16" Plexiglass and Lexan. Drills a super clean hole, and if you are careful and set a depth stop, the tapered step-up can be used to provide a slight counter-sink. High quality high speed steel.

Great but cuts fast seems to hold a good edge although the tip is easily broken

I was pleasantly shocked with how well this bit worked. I needed to drill several 1/2" holes in top of the loader bucket on my tractor -- hard stuff, but this went through easily. I'm sure I'll get much more use out of it!

The drill bit cut through a half inch thick aluminum block like butter. Used it on oak boards and same result. Still sharp after a solid month of use . Great bit for the price point!

Meh, not something you can use for steel more than a handful of times. I had to add 4 holes for a trailer attachment and needed this for the 5/8ths size, as other bits that size are too large for my drill. First hole it seemed to work just fine, however by the last hole it was really only removing material because of friction because it had lost it's edge. For context, I was cutting 1/4 steel, so I know that's tough material to get through, however since this is listed as being able to cut steel I was hoping for something with a bit more longevity. I'm sure for other materials it will do just fine, but for steel it's very meh. This bit could also use some flat edges so hold it better in a chuck.

While drilling out rusted manifold bolts it's almost impossible to drill dead center on the bolts even after using a center punch and this is the first bit I've ever been able to center the hole for easier extraction. Buy it you want regret it one bit !!
