Beautiful in every sense of the word!
Yayyyyyy!!! If you know someone who is going through cancer, this inspired book written by the remarkable Jennifer Young is a wonderful, realistic, thoughtful, kind and practical reference guide which answers all your questions and concerns for supporting yourself as you tackle your treatment . Advice on all important skin, hair, nails, sleep, relaxation, what to eat, great recipes and more. Jennifer has listened to hundreds of women going through cancer treatment and it shows!! This is a superb gift for any woman and should be in the waiting room of every clinic/ health centre in the country! Anyone who doesn't read it is missing out big time. One of the most precious gifts Jennifer gives women in this book is the gift of just being 'normal' and as she says the ability to 'recognise' themselves. Just imagine the effect this has on a woman's self esteem and the corresponding boost to her immune system?! You can't put a price on that. This truly is a beautiful book in every sense of the word! Can't recommend highly enough. Well done Jennifer Young!

A book that makes this most difficult of subjects understandable to all involved with a cancer sufferer
Having just lost a close friend, and another one undergoing chemotherapy, we were as uninformed as most people about cancer and this book was recommended to us. We are not uninformed anymore. It deals with what is happening to the cancer suffer from start to finish and what there options are - we didn't even know there were options! It's a reference book for the man, or woman, in the street and no jargon, thank goodness, just written in a straight to the point easy to understand style. Don't be put off because it is mostly about women - cancer doesn't differentiate and there is stacks of useful information in there that can be used by men, not only styling but nutrition, healthy lifestyle, etc, etc. So, who should buy it? Just cancer suffers? Well, no, if you know someone, you need it; it explains how their world falls apart with the diagnosis and how they need support; it gives you an insight in what they are going through and how you can help and support them; how you can help them with their options or ask the right questions at the numerous hospital interviews (they may not be in a good place) and its a reference book; as you cross each bridge, another question crops up and you go to this book for the answer or guidance. A Fabulous Gift for Those Going Through Cancer Treatment
I was sent a review copy of this book and it is so thoughtfully written and beautifully presented. Loads of information inside that makes this an important resource for all going through treatment. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting, and it gave me a great insight into going through cancer.

An absolute must for any woman diagnosed with cancer
I know there are many motivational books to help women going through cancer treatment but this one offers a different type of motivation, amotivation for strong, courageous women to continue to look after their femininity and beauty in the face of illness and brutal treatment. And for the women who didn't look after themselves as they should before diagnosis, they will be all the better equipped for having this book.I wish I could give it to every single woman diagnosed with cancer.

A Must Buy
This ground-breaking book addresses many issues faced by those suffering from cancer. Namely issues surrounding self-esteem.The book is helpfully divided into sections that are colour coded and illustrated with beautiful pictures.Though the book seems to be primarily aimed at women there is an entire section devoted to men as well. The whole book is referenced too! It's an incredibly refreshing and informative read
