First impression of any type of a HORI TAC.
Despite the excellent build (Compared to a G13, this thing feels amazing for having mechanical keys), Hori can't get over the practicalities behind mapping a mouse to an analog stick.Excellent gameplay results. the ergonomic key layout has helped with my current 22 macros. All customizable the adjustable palm rest and adjustable DPI is a plus for me. I play both keyboard and controller.ConsCan be expensive to most.It DOES take time to get used toThe emulated analog stick may not feel natural.Good idea all in all. The keypad is well executed and even the remapping functions are excellent. I wish there was some kind of Multi Function Display instead of a bunch of colored LEDs.(also just a preference).

Not bad but not great.
Definitely NOT MECHANICAL! Product is listed improperly. Otherwise functions as described. The software is lackluster though. For a product in this price range I expected more features. No macro or multi-keystroke support. Backlight is not customizable. (And doesn't even light up the numbers on the keys themselves.) The grip was comfortable and the buttons felt nice, but I returned due to it not being mechanical.

A very good device tailored to FFXIV
The pros: An analog stick and programmable keys that work perfectly with two on-screen 6x2 hotbars. The hand rest is very comfortable and unintrusive. The companion software (which you have to download) is very to-the-point so you can program it and get gaming ASAP.The cons: It's not mechanical and the stick's base is slightly wobbly. That's literally it. You're otherwise getting a device custom tailored to Final Fantasy XIV. Heck, even play WoW with it if you want. Some people play both games. If you're a fashionable gamer, I guess the membrane keys make it a hunk of garbage to you.

An utterly disappointing, overpriced (and misleading) flop
First things first, this is NOT a mechanical keypad.I wanted to see what switches the pad used, popped a keycap off and lo and behold it's a membrane keypad. The only mechanical buttons are the press on the analog pad and the button next to it.Speaking of the analog pad. The quality of the thumb grip is honestly atrocious, it is one of the WORST feelings thumb sticks I've ever used. In addition the housing wobbles like no other and makes a really noticable and distracting clacking noise since it is not held in well. Also, yes there's more issues, when moving the analog stick anywhere between 7 o clock and 1 o clock it feels like you're grinding up sand under the stick. Legitimately the cheapest and most unpleasant analog stick I have experienced, even cheaper 20 dollar bargain brand controllers have much much nicer and better analog pads. Now onto the other features.Backlight, only options are on or off.I have keypads that are less than half, closer to a quarter of the price of this one that have more robust backlight options. And ones that are a bit over half that have Per Key selectable RGB. In addition to those being fully mechanical AND hot swap. The software to set it up is also woefully inadequate, and clearly skipped out on having any sort of thought put into the user experience. It is also just baseline acceptable and "works" but takes multiple steps more to perform the same thing competitors software does.Ergonomic wise, this one is fine to use.The one saving grace. But not enough to undo the abysmal quality of everything else.TLDR:1.) says it's mechanical, it's absolutely not.2.) insanely overpriced for the trash tier build and parts quality3.) lacks features options less than half the price have4.) software is terribleDo not buy this junk.

Software installation issues, basically a reskin of an old device without any updates
So I was excited to try and find a replacement for my Razer Tartarus Pro which seems to wear out easily with using the joystick for movement. Plus the Razer requires its software to be up and running for anything besides their default keymap. This to its credit at least has its own internal storage and doesn't require its software to be run for anything besides changing button settings. Now the real issue comes down to that this is a reskin of an old device and they didn't even bother to update their software for it. If you are running 64-bit Windows 11, you will need to install Microsoft's x86 (not x64, that doesn't work) version of their 2010 C++ redistributable package and that its support ended in 2020. I tried installing every other more current package, both x86 and x64 and it has to be the 2010 x86 one for the error to go away and you be able to use the software on Windows 11 (Pro is my version) so you can set other than the default profiles.Hardware wise I enjoy the additional button options (like the esc key), though I need to figure out how to disable the joystick press binding. If you use the thumbstick in joystick configuration, pressing the joystick registers as the left side button of a controller which I'm assuming is some form of joystick based targeting. This though disables movement and with my longer fingers, I tend to accidentally hit it too often to overlook it. I'm not a huge fan of the joystick itself. It's location is wobbly when fully extended out and perhaps because of my long fingers isn't very comfortable. My thumb likes to slip off the top of it (perhaps it needs a deeper indentation or more texture on the surface?) and I end up using the outer edges of it, leading to reversing directions also triggering the lsb button press.Key wise, they're about average. They have a bit of 'thunk' to them and require some effort and the Raazer ones are definitely much better. At this point I'm likely to see if there is something better to replace my Razer Tartarus Pro than this and if so, return this. I had pre-bought two of these so that my wife could have one as well, but she hasn't tried it yet and I'll try and update this review with her feedback (she has much smaller hands than I).

No complaints
Works well and is comfortable to use. The software is limited but responsive and easy to use. Honestly, I’m more satisfied with this device then I expected to be.
