★★★★★ Surprisingly Premium Lenovo Tablet at a Budget Price
I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed at this price point, but the Lenovo M11 really delivers. From the moment I unboxed it, the tablet felt surprisingly solid and well-built, with a sleek aluminium finish that gives it a genuinely premium feel — more like something double the price.Performance-wise, it’s slick and fast for all the everyday things I use it for: streaming YouTube, browsing, email, crosswords, reading, and using mainstream apps like Kindle, Spotify, and Notes. The 11-inch 2K display is bright, sharp, and colourful, and the quad-speaker setup offers impressively rich sound for a tablet in this range.I haven’t tried it for gaming, so can’t comment there — but for casual and everyday use, it’s been absolutely faultless. I use it regularly as a bedside and sofa companion, and it’s light enough to hold comfortably for long stretches, but sturdy enough not to feel cheap.Battery life has also been strong, comfortably lasting a full day of moderate use. The Android 13 interface is smooth, and I appreciate the clean, minimal bloatware approach Lenovo has taken here.I saw other users praising features like Widevine L1 support (meaning HD streaming from services like Netflix) and USB-C fast charging, both of which add to the premium experience.Honestly, for the price, it feels like a steal. I’m seriously considering buying another one for the family. If you’re looking for a reliable, stylish, and capable tablet for everyday use, this one is well worth a look.

Great screen, sound, battery life. Easy setup straight out of the box. In short, recommended...
Why did I buy this?My requirement was for a well built tablet with a decent resolution/brightish screen, good speakers that could go loud (without distorting), good battery life and running a recent version of Android (preferably not too heavily customised from Google's 'vanilla' Android running on their Pixel phones/tablets), all at a reasonable price point. Not too much to ask for eh? :)Out of the box...The Lenovo Tab Plus felt solid straight out of the box with its aluminium body. It comes with few accessories. Just a USB C to USB C cable (approx 115cm long), Warranty/Quick Start Guide booklets and a memory card ejection prodder used to eject the tablet's microSD card holder. Up to 1TB microSD cards supported. A mains charger is NOT supplied as standard, Lenovo recommend a Lenovo branded charger or a charger supporting 18 (min) to 45 (max) Watts for maximum charging speed. They state that USB Power delivery (USB-PD) is supported by the tablet. (More on charging later). As mentioned, the tablet has a solid feel weighing in at 650g (1.43lb). Heavier than most modern 11.5" tablets. The tablet is marketed towards those wanting to consume music/movies on-the-go thus the inclusion of 8 loudspeakers housed in the speaker 'bulge' located in the lower half of the tablet (13.6mm thick going down to 7.7mm for the rest of the tablet) and a larger than average (for most modern slim tablets) battery with a capacity of 8600mAh.While on the subject of speakers, the tablet also offers a 3.5mm headphone socket for those who prefer wired rather than Bluetooth headphone connectivity. Both the inclusion of the larger speakers and high capacity battery obviously adds to the overall weight. But then given the tablet is aimed at media requiring bright screen settings, loudish audio from its excellent speakers then a larger than normal battery is required thus adding to the weight. The tablet has a built-in aluminium kickstand attached to the main body shell with sturdy hinges that adjusts to various angles (without collapsing!) which is great for media consumption.Brand new out of the box, the battery capacity was approximately 50%, easily allowing me to transfer content and settings from my (Pixel) phone via the included USB C cable and to download/install an Android update required to bring the device up to date (currently Android 14).With regard to software, Lenovo promise 2 years of major Android updates will be available which would take the Tab Plus up to Android 16 once released. Also 4 years of security patches. The Tab Plus sports 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. The main processor (Media Tek Helio G99) is nowadays considered entry level but in my opinion is certainly fast enough to get the job done. I haven't noticed any huge lag swapping between apps. Screen refreshes are certainly fast enough in my book. I'm not a gamer, but would suspect this would NOT be the tablet for you if gaming is your thing.WiFi 5 is supported alongside WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.2I have not experienced any issues so far with the tablet's WiFi.GPS is offered to include Glonass and Galileo support which is a nice to haveLiving with the Tab Plus...I'm not a big fan of the default Lenovo 'ZUI' Android Launcher so I have downloaded and I'm using the Lawnchair Legacy launcher which has allowed me to tailor my Tab so that my experience is much closer to the Google Pixel launcher. Obviously my preference is a personal thing and most users would find the Tab's default launcher experience fine.I am very impressed with the Tab's main selling point, its sound quality. The sound from this thing has to be experienced in order to understand what can be achieved with the 8 speaker setup.Battery life is not proving to be an issue so far. My only gripe has been charging. I initially used the USB power brick that came with my Huawei laptop that can only support 9V at 2A (18W), which is at the bottom end of the Lenovo recommended charging rate (18W min, 45W max). This resulted in slow charging requiring me to source a different charger that I had lurking allowing a much improved charge rate. Maybe Lenovo should be supplying an approved charger for this tablet? In conclusion...I am very happy with the Lenovo Tab Plus. It meets all my requirements without breaking the bank. I could have pushed the boat out and gone for a Pixel tablet which is currently (21 jan 2025) twice the price from Amazon. Also I would have missed out on the Lenovo Tab Plus's best feature, its speakers. One thing I miss with this tablet is a fingerprint reader, but I can live without that given its other featuresI will add any additional comments to this review if issues (or non-issues) arise. A good tablet when there are no faults.
This Lenovo P12 tablet is a replacement for an identical tablet that developed a screen display fault within the first few days of use. The fault was a straight black line accross the screen which was not rectified even by a Factory Reset. These kind of hardware faults can appear unexpectedly on any Tablet for no known reason.I am most grateful to Amazon for excellent customer service and speedy replacement of the Tablet.First impression of the Tablet is that it looks and feels like good quality in the hand, and looks bigger than the average 10.5 screen. The screen size is perfect for displaying my violin sheet music as the screen size is equivalent to an A4 paper sheet music without margins. The Lenovo P12 tablet has an anti-reflective screen which means you're not staring at your reflection and can view the tablet in bright sunshine. The 3K screen means that movies are in high resolution and the excellent audio when using headphones gives a great cinematic experience. The built-in speakers sound good on their own. There are many useful Lenovo features in this Tablet that at are additional to the Android 16 software. The Pen and handwriting recognition are excellent, and great for doodling.I'm a musician and use the pen for annotating sheet music PDFs.I have a sheet music Bluetooth page turner pedal that works perfectly with the tablet. However, there are very few Microphone stand Tablet holders that will hold the Tablet in landscape mode with support on the lower edge. I therefore adapted a holder by adding support for the lower edge of the Tablet to prevent it slipping and falling on the floor. And also added a couple of cable ties to prevent the Tablet rotating and falling out the holder. It's really important to ensure that the Tablet is held securely in any holder.Amazon do sell Lenovo mic stand Tablet holders for the P12 but they are very expensive.(I also bought a protective case and screen protector but these won't prevent the screen. breaking if the P12 lands from a height on concrete). The Tablet is very slim but sturdy, and has a glass screen rather than plastic. There is an SD card slot which I use to store backups of sheet music and backing tracks, just in case a fault develops and the Tablet requires to be replaced. When first configuring the Tablet there is an option to transfer data from another Android device, which makes the Tablet setup and configuration process much faster. As with most Tablets these days, there's no earphone socket, which is not a deal breaker as I use Bluetooth headphones with Bluetooth 5 and have no problems with latency. You can also buy a USB C to TRRS jack plug on Amazon if you need a cable connection to headphones or to Amp/speakers, (which I use to play backing tracks / accompaniment when I'm busking with electric violin).Battery life is good as long as your not screen mirroring, which drains the battery much faster.I would award the p12, 5 stars were it not for faults that I experienced on the P11 (battery charging fault) and a screen fault on the previous P12. I award 4 stars because the Tablet generally performs well.
