It's not the easiest thing to get perfect, but as you go, you get better, and the overall effect is excellent! My own minor issue is that it's a little too dark on the inside. The window is north-facing, and even on a fully sunny day, the room is darker. However, after a quick and easy install, I checked from the outside, and it is really, really hard to see in; I'm so pleased. It took me about 20 minutes to fit all 4 areas in 1 window. The two things I learnt when putting them in are: 1. use the straight edges, so you only have to cut two sides to a window, not four, and 2. practise when you do have to cut around the edges; it's really fiddly. Lots of water, measure properly and a squeegee are key. It is tougher than we thought so easier to install because of that. If you are using just water on the windows and film then it can be really tricky to get it all flattened out evenly without any imperfections. This was a costly £20 mistake for me which meant I had to order more. When using just water you cannot then remove parts of it from the window and refit it if you get it the slightest bit wrong, it will damage the film and really kick off any OCD compulsion you may have. IF FITTING BY YOURSELF - 1. make sure you spray the film as you remove the backing, as to weigh it down with water so it doesn't fold over on itself (thank me later). 2. Use soapy water rather than just water as this makes the process so much easier to fit, however you can notice the difference when finished as it gives the window a glossy/wavy kind of effect. Whereas just water will make looking through the UV film crystal clear. 3. If laying the film on the floor to spray prior to fitting then be aware that hairs may find their way in between the film and the window, luckily though if using soapy water it becomes really easy to peel the film back once on the window so that you can remove any hairs or dust. 4. Fitting this UV film can take a fair bit of time so remember to be patient!
