Mountain Bike Grips - 22.2mm MTB Road Bike Handlebar Grips and Ends

I'm surprised that they are actually good. I've tried different positions and to my surprise they fit and feel best when I've exchanged the left and right. When mounted like on the picture I can steel reach the brake levers with my ring and little fingers. The riding position is very similar to riding a road bike with hands on the hoods. It really helps having that extra hand position on longer rides. I have big hands - size 10 gloves. The way they fit is I got my fingers grabbing them and the side of my palm rests on the handlebar grip. So they are definitely suitable for big hands - you just have to try different ways an find the best position for you. Build quality - they seem to be well made. The material is some kind of plastic, although it looks sturdy and grips well. Hopefully they will last.

These are quite nicely made although the green luminous trim is a bit pointless - luckily it is easily removed. The L and R labelling is equally pointless but that came off with a little wipe with Wynns Carb cleaner. Being an open clap they can be quickly fitted and removed if you want. I wish they were a bit larger and grippier but I added some grip tape to solve the latter. My set weighed 82g and for that they are well worth the extra hand position.

I've got the Boardman hybrid 8.8 bike and it can be hard going when your hands are in the same position for hours at a time.so saw these and they really are cheap so I decided to give them a go..at first I thought they weren't going to fit my bike but putting them on the inside and loosening my gear changer on the right I managed to slide the right hand side one in easily then re tightened gear changer again.left side was no problem ... Very very stable once attached to my handlebars.gives you a good change of hand position and still keep control of the bike..simple design but effective..no regrets would recommend but no way would fit if you have quite thick handlebars..as I said for my Boardman hybrid 8.8 bike with slight adjustment fitted perfectly ..oh and I found as someone else said right grip on the left side handlebar and left grip on the right side handlebar felt the more natural position for me.. hopefully this is helpful to someone else

Easy to fit and fairly comfy. It would've been nice if they were I little longer hence the 3 stars.

Great product. Does exactly what it says on the tin - providing a comfortable alternative hand position, and at a great price! To confirm what other reviewers have said, switching L and R positions seems to be the correct way to install.

Surprisingly good. I say that because when i first took them out of the package they looked pretty small but they're actually just the right size for my hands, and my MTB glove size is XL. Makes a difference when cruising on flat to alleviate muscle fatigue, but especially when pulling on inclines, as it brings you hands and elbows into the body which helps 'pull' the bike in the direction you want it. You can still reach the brakes and the up shifter. As others have said, after fixing the right grip to the right hand side of the handlebar side, I ended up putting it on the left side, and left grip on the right side handlebar - feels more natural in the 'wrong' position.

If you need another hand position on bike or mtb these are a simple cheap solution. A bit plasticky and no need for the green coloured trim so 4/5.

Would be even better if you looked at making this more secure, I slipped when riding and placed my full weight on the bar end, of my god I went forward faster than a cheetah on steroids. Well my arms, hands and back are now covered in grit and i'm having it scrubbed out, all in all a good day apart from my inhuman burst of speed into the ground. please make these more secure. Thanks
