Why is liftmaster 8500w not compatible low clearance tracks?

I don't know what the other answers are, since there's no damn "bar" with this unit. It mounts on the wall, directly to the roller bar that lifts your garage door. FYI, They ARE compatible, it's what they are made for (low clearance) as long as exact space (or a little more) is available from ceiling down to the bar. Just had this quoted from 2 different garage door companies, because I have a "high lift" door with only about 3" clearance (cannot accommodate standard center door/room mount style). Due to their quoted price, I'll be doing it myself. Oh, one of the idiots told me I couldn't get this unit anywhere since I'm not a distributer... Wonder if he realized it's no longer the 1980's?

Will this work for everyone ?

No. First, you have to have a garage door, people without one it will not work for. Then you look at a space and size requirements needed for the install and of course you have to have horizontal springs.

Hi Will this unit work in California ?

Unfortunately, it won't work in all counties of California. It requires electricity to operate and also recharge the on-board battery. With the frequent power outages as a result of wind, rain, too much sun, not enough sun, and a host of other restrictions, it is not recommended for use in Kalifornia.
