How do I get these to work in all sockets of a multi candle chandelier? The only way I can get to work is to put a regular bulb in one of them?

Sometimes the small light bulbs don't go in completely. So you have to turn them into the socket slowly. If you turn them into quickly they'll go slightly sideways and won't make the connection. The other idea is that the bulb is broken and so it's not working so take it out and try another one..

Can i use this in a night light?

These produce a flickering light that is significantly dimmer than a standard 7W (or even 4W) bulb typically used in a night light. They only weakly illuminate an 18" circle or so. I'd have to say that while it would let you know where a wall was, it wouldn't light up your path.
