Incredibly comfortable and affordable!
I'd been needing a solid coat for a couple of years now, for when it gets too cold for a hoodie. Searched around forever and couldn't really find anything I liked. I was actually looking for a leather jacket, preferably one with a hood, which was somewhat difficult to find. I didn't find any leather jackets I liked, but I stumbled onto this one, and really liked the look. I really do not like the style/design of 99% of the apparel marketed toward hunters, but this coat is really nice looking, simply designed, and there's only a couple of small brand tags that don't draw attention to themselves. I tend to get cold easily, but I didn't want something that's too hot. Luckily, this coat is thick enough to keep me warm, but not so thick that I get too hot. The fit is nice and snug, the inner liner is very comfortable, and I love the removable hood (which it looks great with or without). After looking for so long and not being able to find anything I liked, I am incredibly happy I found this one. Great, great coat.

Gives a timeless appeal & a ladies magnet
Hands down one of my favorite jacket from this company. Without fail, I instantly get compliments when I bust this bad boy out. I absolutely love the rugged aesthetic. It's perfect for outdoor adventures or casual outings. The materials used are of high quality, providing warmth and comfort. Favorite part is that it feels HEAVY. Overall, it's a reliable option for those seeking a rugged and stylish outerwear piece. With its durability, functionality, and classic design, it's sure to become a staple in my wardrobe for years to come.

Love!! But... the pockets need some work.
My son loves the style and color of this. But, he did have some issues with the pockets themselves. The lining in them was thin and ripped a bit. Other than that, he loves it!!! It's great for a day where it's cold by not completely freezing. And, it's got good style, too. Overall, glad to have it!

Attractive, practical, medium weight jacket
The jacket is attractive, practical, and medium weight. It's not going to keep you warm (by itself) in 20 degree weather. But it will be fine in the fall and spring and perhaps winter if you layer (I live in New England). The size seems spot on. I'm 5 7, about 135 pdf, and the small fits perfectly. It's comfortable, seems well made, and has a good look. Glad I bought the jacket.

White tails Dakota Jacket
The inside of pockets made of lining nylon ripped out at the seams within 2 days of use. Jacket is warm and comfortable is only good feature. Not worth returning for a new replacement because pocket linings would do the same thing. I would never recommend the jacket because of the pocket workmanship.

Really wanted to like it more than I do...
OK, so after wearing it a bit I have to say I really think its just a jacket that walks in the middle too much and gets stuck not really knowing itself. The cut is great and the dark brown (chocolate?) color walks the line perfectly between "light enough for everyday wear, but dark enough for date night". What's more that zippered hoodie helps push the style whichever way you need...keep it on for a more casual look, take it off to dress it up a bit. Unfortunately, everything else just keeps missing by the barest bit. The waxed cotton outter looks great at a distance, but the material just doesn't look as good up close. It doesnt have the same quality as something going for a "nicer" look and it doesnt have the rough textured build of something that speaks to a truly practical nature. This means you are tempting the disappointment fairy if you were it on date night ("oh that looks....not that great..."), but on the other hand, the material is definitely not rugged enough for actual work use (ironic considering the name). If you actually had to carry wood, a bail of hay, or god forbid wire, I just dont see it holding up. The coat has some thickness to it, but its definitely not a cold weather coat. I run hot and I'd say this is perfectly fine for temperatures in the 50's (F) with moderate wind and low / no precipitation. If you plan to wear it on colder temps you definitely need to layer it. Pockets....oof are these things rage inducing. The two outside hand pockets have aggressively large openings with the bottom of the pocket being wider than the top and a very shallow angle. Result is absolutely nothing feels secure in the pockets except maybe large gloves stuffed into them. In the end, they are certainly not bad, but they seem worse than they are because of the other pockets.... The upper left chest pocket is the only pocket with a zipper. It has a surprisingly deep (bottoms out below the pectoral muscle) and narrow pocket. This means anything you put in it will probably dig into your cheat and /or stick out, and be frustratingly difficult to remove for anyone that has anything larger than moderate sized hands. The inside pockets are both on the left side. For a righty like me, that didn't at first seem like a bad thing (more on that later), but if you're a lefty I can only imagine its a pain to find that out after purchase. Both the pockets are as narrow as the chest pocket, with the top pocket being rather short (maybe the size of a bifold wallet) while the bottom inside pocket is closer to 6 inches long so once again, anything that goes into it becomes a pain to fish out unless you have small hands. With neither having zipper / securing apparatus you have to choose between dropping something in a pocket that doesn't feel secure or knowing you'll have to contort your hand into a claw to remove the item. Finally to those keeping track, this jacket has 4 of its 5 pockets on the left side. Once again, lefty's be ware, but also if you do fill all the pockets I can only imagine the coat wearing awkwardly. In the end, if you're looking for a somewhat flexible urban casual coat to wear in the 50's (F) and dont actually need pockets...I think its actually pretty decent. I think if it dealt with some of the items I mentioned, it'd be amazing. As it is, just doesn't suit me.

Looks cool. Keeps you warm.
I was really searching for fashion in a coat. Most coats keep you warm. This one is super warm. But the first time I wore this out, friends/family noticed and said things like, "ahh, cool coat... where'd you get that?" That's a first. I can't speak to how durable it is just yet. Have only had it since the beginning of winter... so like 2.5 months or so. But I sorta don't care. If it wears out, I'll buy another one. So far, nothing is falling apart. I love this coat.

Comfortable and functional, but could be better.
My first impressions with this were quite solid. Outer shell feels like leather and seems a bit water resistant (not really though). It looks excellent, isn't very heavy and provides enough warmth for most winter days on the west coast even with just a t-shirt underneath. You might still feel chilly at ~5C if you aren't that cold tolerant though. The pockets are pretty disappointing though. Some reviews mentioned them ripping and the material (also lining the sleeves) is quite thin. It can prevent sweaty hands but it's very prone to cold and wont keep your hands warm much at all during winter. I have a 33-34" chest. I ordered small and it fits loose on me but doesn't look too bulky. Having two front zippers with the hoodie attached is kinda weird at first but you get used to it. It'll likely be great for the spring time but the pockets suck and make the $150 I paid for it at the time a bit questionable. I wonder if it'd be worth it to get better ones sewn in.
