Almost as good as the best!
I'M MY FAVORITE ASIAN CHEF, and use fish sauce in a LOT of ways. I even use it as a condiment like many people use ketchup! It adds tons of umami! When buying fish sauce, the MOST important thing to look for is the amount of PROTEIN per serving! (I can't stress this enough because lesser 'protein sauces' are noticeably worse) While 'Red Boat' is recognized as the best in the business with FOUR grams of protein per tablespoon. 'Chin-Su' fish sauce is close with THREE grams of protein per tablespoon. (For reference, other cheaper brands have one or two grams of protein per tablespoon). I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is! While I'm not going to stop buying and using the best quality fish sauce, I will continue to use this for recipes where the fish sauce isn't the predominant ingredient... such as kimchi.

Good Quality
This has become my favorite fish sauce! It’s got a much more rich and complex flavor than some of the others. I also love that it’s in glass.

A sauce to make you a famous cook
The major complaint I have concerns the bottle cap - not logical for first opening and not reliable for closing. Much less expensive than Red Boat brand and almost as good. I advocate using it everywhere but especially in spinach. Keep it secret and amaze your guests! I must add that the smell can be off putting, especially if you have not acquired the taste yet! So if you want to develop a good relationship with Anchovy Fish Sauce, keep it away from your nose and your guests’ noses at full strength. It belongs in the kitchen, not on the table.

It’s great but is not pure fish sauce
It’s delicious! The issue is the added ingredients especially the sugar and everything else. The purist available that I have found is Red Boat. Anchovies and salt. If you want something closer to ancient Roman garum I’d buy that.

lots of chemicals and non food ingredients monsodium glutamate etc.
the ingredients are anchovy salt water sugar monsodium glutamate citric acid disodium guanylate disodium inosidate natural flavor. i ordered this because it says ingredients are anchovies and salt. fail
