Nice dark soy sauce and good price

We tried this soy sauce at an upscale sushi restaurant. It was so delicious we had to ask what brand their soy sauce was. Because it is pricier than other brands, I use this when the soy is the star flavour or a dish, such as for sushi.

The difference between this soya sauce and supermarket chain is that this soya sauce has zero preservatives. I counted shop bout had an extra 5 ingredient unlike this. The quality and amount you get in the bottle is enough to do you a few good months especially if you cook with soya sauce a lot. The taste is slightly bitter and a hint more salty. But added to dishes and rice it blends very well. Definitely value for money. The top of the bottle is open and wide so you can decant the soya sauce in to a smaller bottle if you want to. Simple to add to dishes. I would say do not salt your dish until you have tasted the dish as it can be very easy to over salt your meal. This is authentic japanese Soya sauce made in japan you can't get any better.

Cette Yamasa 1L, c’est un peu la patronne de mes plats. Depuis qu’elle est arrivée, tout le monde veut en être : le riz, les nouilles, les légumes, même l’omelette se prend pour un plat japonais. Le goût est profond, équilibré, rien de salé agressif comme certaines sauces qui t’arrachent la langue. Non, ici c’est fin, rond, parfumé… le genre de sauce qui murmure “laisse-moi faire, je gère”. Le format 1L ? Parfait. Je peux cuisiner sans avoir l’impression que la bouteille va se finir au bout de trois soirs d’inspiration asiatique. Bref, une valeur sûre, un classique, un pilier. Mes plats lui disent merci ...et moi aussi.
