Haldiram's Khatta Meetha (Sweet-n-spicy) Mix of Chickpeas Flour Noodles,Rice flakes, Green Peas & Peanuts - 35.30oz, 1kg

I'm absolutely addicted to Indian snacks. I'm surprised they never really caught on in the States, but then I remembered that not everybody is into exotic flavors or spice. However, of all the namkeens I've tried, this one in particular is the most "approachable" one, even to my friends, who often turn their noses when I offer them an Indian snack. Hey, I don't blame them: getting a whiff inside the bag is an EXPERIENCE. I think it's the asafoetida that makes them smell... fecal? This khatta meetha is relatively unoffensive, however.Anyway, the overall flavor here is sweet and sour, with very subtle spiciness. Since the pieces are so tiny, you're best off using a spoon - or funneling it into your mouth like a junkie for snacks. A bonus is that due to all the various legumes in this mix, there's quite a bit of protein in here. And even if the prices are crazy inflated online compared to buying at a local grocery, it's still an amazing deal. (As of the time of this review, this is at only $0.28/ounce!)

An Indian friend cam to America and gave me a bag of these.. they are authentic and the flavor is different but really good.The only problem they have it's that once you open it you want to finish the bag!!!!

My whole family likes these. Sprinkle on anything (great crunch for a salad, soup topper, etc.) Not very spicy. We like the sweet-and-salty vibe.

It arrived in time and I have bought it several times. It is good to check the expiry date on it becoz sometimes it does not taste fresh.

I love this mix. A little spendy but worth it to me. I mostly use it to top my yogurt. SOOOO much tastier than granola.
