Manna Pro Garden Treat Thyme Chicken Feed Supplement, Oregano & Thyme, 4 lb

Although our chickens didn't really like these ingredients,we also buy another flavor of this brand they do like.So I gave it a 5 anyways.Other chickens my not be as picky.We add a bit of this with the other flavor.But,may share it with our other friends who have chickens.

We have both chickens and ducks and the chickens love everything about it. The ducks like some of the pieces and pick through it, but the chickens will eat it all. It's been a good treat for our poultry and none of it has gone to waist. For the chickens they'll east it right off the ground. For the ducks I sprinkle it on their other grains as a topper. Works well!

I thought this was a neat idea to add to have treats for chickens. I will say that they go for it just like my dogs go for their treats so it’s a win. It’s a great way to give them nutrients that they might not normally get. It comes in a 4 lb bag, and is made with real vegetables, beets, peas, sweet potatoes, broccoli, sunflower pumpkin seeds, raisins, oregano and thyme. They suggest feeing ½ to 2 tablespoons per bird daily. I’m thinking of even keeping some for my wild birds later in the spring to see how they like it. The mixture is colorful and smells good even to me. My only concern is the date on the back of the bag. It doesn’t indicate if it’s an expiration date or the date of production. The date was 2 months prior to my order so I’m really hoping that it is the date it was produced. It’s a little concerning but I haven’t heard any complaints. LOL.

My chickens like this - they skip the lentils, but if I mix it with their food as a supplement rather than giving it to them straight they will eat all of it. I split the bag in half and mixed part with their grains, part with the mealworm treats. I am a little concerned about the age because I cannot tell if the date is the manufacturing date or the expiry date, so they should change this. Given the rep of manna pro I am assuming it is the former, but they should clarify that. I wish it had some more dried herbs in it - like the nesting box herbs. It is such a good blend of legumes and cruciferous vegetables, some more leafy greens would really round it out. It's a nice forage treat in winter when there isn't much fresh stuff, and it offers a lot of the same food found in a "flock block" without sitting in the coop attracting rodents.

This was the best-looking mix of grains I've ever seen, and it smelled great, but that doesn't mean the chickens would agree with me. However, they wholeheartedly did agree that they love it. It would be a little tough for me to feed this on a regular basis as I have a lot of chickens and this little 4 lb bag is more than the 50 lb bag of scratch I get at the feed store, but it is SO NICE. Look at the grains in it, they are beautiful I will definitely keep some on hand for treats.

My chickens seemed to think it was a yummy treat! All you would need to do is add some bugs to this blend, and they’d go crazy! I like that it gives them trace elements as if they were foraging around a vegetable garden. We have bald eagles, foxes coyotes, and other predators where I live so my chickens are not able to forage outside of their pen which moves from place to place in a large yard. I look for feed like this to give them variety. This would be the perfect thing for chickens or doves pigeons especially if they live in the city. Four stars for lack of bugs
