Pippa and Jamie
I enjoyed reading this story. Book 1 in the Vancouver Storm series. This Pippa and Jamie’s story. Lots of fun and laughter with this couple and their friends and family. Pippa is a fun girl trying to find her way while Jamie is the hot brooding ice hockey star. Lots of sexy scenes and a little drama.

Easy read
It was enjoyable but certainly not the best hockey romance I have read. It was very cheesy at times and to me it did feel a bit like instant love. Still enjoyable and a nice easy read

Power Couple
First ImpressionI love sports romances so I was eager to read this one fast. I feel like this trope in this book is going to be so good! Do you know when you read the first few chapters of a book and you know you are going to love it? This book did that for me.Jamie and PippaDo you know when you read the first few chapters of a book and you know you are going to love it? This book did that for me. First impressions of Jamie; he takes a stray dog in, are you kidding? He knows his schedule is packed full but he takes her in regardless. It gave insight into his character already.Jamie was such a raw character for me. He wasn’t your typical airhead hockey player. His morals and background shaped him into one of my favourite characters. Jamie’s issues with his mum felt so real and I appreciated the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book.I adored Pippa. I could relate to her stresses and worries. I am so glad that she was able to overcome her fears of not getting up on stage or being able to write music. I was glad that she had Jamie to gently encourage her to sing and perform her own songs. On a side note, Zach was so awful! I am so happy that Pippa got the happy ending she deserved and that was her true revenge against him.Romance/ SpiceThe spice in this book was so delicious!!! I felt the romance aspect was beautifully written and felt easy to follow along. There was just enough of a slow burn before their relationship blossomed!I really could not get enough of Pippa and Jamie, this book quickly became one of my favourites and I can’t wait to read the next book, which I gratefully received as an ARC.

Stephanie Garber writes another perfect book!
put a man like jamie in athletic shorts and sweatpants and im gone let me just say, SO 👏🏽 DAMN 👏🏽 AMAZING 👏🏽. JAMIE 🩷✨🤩🥹 AND PIPPA IS SO CUTEEEE MY HEART. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. im obsessed.JAMIE IS SUCH A SOFTIE. THE WAY HE SUPPORTED HER AND PUSHED HER TO ‘get back on the ice’ AND PURSUE HER DREAMS. I LOVE HIM. beautiful green eyed boy. his love for her was so strong and you knew deep in your bones he would do anything for her. i loved the way he dealt with his mum too, really beautiful!!pippa was such a cutie. I’m so happy she learnt her true value and did what she wanted to do not what her parents did! jamie and pippa’s relationship was perfectly balanced in the way they were there for eachother. the setting was fun, hockey and forest walks etc, loved the little community of his hockey team and her sister tooo. AND DAISY IS THE CUTEST DOG. THE WAY JAMIE SAW HER AND DIDNT WANT TO KEEP HER BUT KEPT HER BECAUSE NONE OF THE SHELTERS WERE GOOD ENOUGH 😭😭 you know a man is good when he treats his dog right 🥹‘For you songbird? Anything’deceased. he calls her songbird. HE CALLS HER SONGBIRD. SONGBIRD. SONG👏🏽BIRD👏🏽CANNOT WAITTTTT FOR MILLER AND HAZELS BOOK. GOING TO BE SO GOODalso looking forward to ward and Jordan. Very cute
I really liked this romance. It had a cheesy setup and a somewhat predictable plot but that’s somewhat expected now for me in this genre and not something I hold against it as much anymore as I used to. It’s somewhat comforting and as long as there are still details that are surprising me, I’m happy.I liked both of the MCs a lot and really enjoyed their energy. The pining was a bit much sometimes but I really liked how they continued to support each other in various ways and helped each other grow. I liked the roles the side characters played in both their histories as well as their present and the mental health rep was a nice inclusion, both with its effects on the character suffering with its consequences and the impact it had on a family member.I originally started the book because I heard it was really spicy. It did take a while to get to that but once they got started, it got hot pretty quickly. I liked how their respect and support for each other was carried through in those scenes while also taking their fun attributes to a higher (hotter) level. Really fun.I’m looking forward to the next one and already have it downloaded on my kindle.

IM NOT A ROMANCE GIRLIE
Okays, as I said? I’m not a romance girlie! Honestly I can’t even remember when was the last time I picked up a romance book. I mean, it has hot? Oh whatever, I can get that from my fantasies and dark romances too, you know? But, I needed something light I downloaded this book just for fun…But it’s so beautiful! I want a Jamie so F bad in my life right now!!! Oh gosh, another point to the list of “what I want in a man” to discuss in therapy 😂😂😂It has a good background history, great 🌶️ scenes and so much grown of the female MC!I mean, I wish I could have a guy who believes in me even when I don’t and am on my worst… (specially if he is F hot, bossy, kinda sim and super caring)Just give a chance guys, it’s totally worthy it!

Seriously steamy and spicy!
Behind the Net is the start of a new series for Stephanie Archer. Jamie is a goalie for the Vancouver Storm, he has recently been signed by them to be closer to his mom, who has panic attacks. Jamie is always doing things for people and being strong for those he loves, he never asks for help. He finds himself needing some help in Vancouver, and the team sends an assistant to his aide. Pippa is recently out of a long term relationship with a jerk of an ex, Zach. Zach did a number on her self esteem and now she has been assigned assistant duties to Jamie, who she had a massive crush on in high school. Her parents are pressuring her to use her marketing degree, but Jamie gives her courage to come back to her dream of music. Can Pippa trust her heart, or will it get broken again?Stephanie Archer is a master of creating a balance of pining, passion and This is a forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine romance that is absolutely delectable. I loved hockey romances and I loved the chance to read a hockey romance by one of my favourite authors! Pippa and Jamie are perfect characters and I love how the two of them communicate and seem to feed off of each other. I adored Jamie, he was such an amazing support to Pippa to make sure she begins to believe in herself again. This is a slow burn romance and I loved every second of it!I loved the story in this book, and how these were two adults that were supportive of each other during their highs and lows. I also liked that this book didn't have a third act break up! Archer introduced a great cast of characters in the teammates Jamie has, and they are going to be perfect additions for future novels.I devoured this book and did not want to put it down. Stephanie Archer wrote an excellent novel that I found myself wanting to keep reading.

I love the book from page 1 !
First book of Stephanie Archer that I read and I loved it, I couldn't put it down.Jamie is a grumpy NHL player and Pippa is his live-in assistant, and you guess it they quickly fall in love.I love Jamie protectiveness toward Pippa and how he believes in her unlike her ex who crushed her confidence but thank to Jamie she believes in herself again. They mutual crush for each other in high school is really fun, they were so sure the other didn't know the other existence so they both act like they don't remember. The scene were they discover the truth is priceless.Overall their couple is amazing and I'm not afraid to say that's my relationship goal.
