It's a thermos.
Thermos coffee cups are always good. I've had several over many years and have always been happy with my purchas.

Great size, weight, balance
Great simple light-weight mug for keeping coffee hot/warm for a good half-hour at my desk. Like it more than ones with tops that must be screwed on, though those have better insulation. It does come with a plastic lid that can be placed on top to extend heat retention to an hour or so. Happy to find a quality insulated cup that looks like a regular mug....

I wish I had returned this early on. This is how it looks after four months. The chipping began almost immediately. I'm very disappointed.

Perfect, but Japanese large size is everyone else's normal!
Fantastic mug that keeps heat in for a long time. Just a heads up that while it's a large mug in Japan, but is actually a regular-sized mug in Australia. They just make things smaller (and cuter) over there.

これと言って特徴のないデザインの保温マグ。 だがそれが良い。 持ちやすい取手、置いた時の安定感、保温機能とどれも不満はありません。 シールが剥がしにくいとかは大した問題では無く、使い続ける上での快適さこそが重要だと思います。 ただし、付属のフタだけは別売のパッキン付きの物に買い換えましょう(笑)

Little expensive but really nice.
Love this tea cup. Japan gets all the cool stuff. I use this for tea and so far it's been excellent. The interior has some like discolouration from the heat but no stains so far. The cover is a neat addition to keep beverages hot/warm.
