The media could not be loaded.  It was not clear from the description -- and the mention of Shark Tooth chain retention suggests otherwise, but these rings (at least the 46t) is not for 1x application. The chain will fall right off on the inside if there is any cross chaining.Of course the return policy means I can't return this, but I'm annoyed that this shows up for a search for narrow-wide rings and yet is evidently only for using in 2x applications.

They were out of stock and the company contacted me where I said I did not mind waiting. The product is well made and company is good to deal with.

I bought 2 chainrings. A 38t and a 53t, and after more than 3 weeks of use (400 miles), I'm happy with both chainrings, no weird noises and chain feels more engaged thanks to their shark teeth I guess and the shifting is smooth in both front and rear derailleur. Also, it's important to say that they really cared about my order due to the Holliday season high demand and issues with lost packages and delay deliveries. They solved the problem and made sure I got the package delivered to me. They product is worth the money and even better if it's a product made in the USA.

Finally changed my 53 FSA out before a bucket list ride through the Catskills. As 45+ years experience on the road riding on every brand over the years, over every terrain this is the best 53 I have ever used. The transition back and forth to the 39 was flawless on the ride which required a lot of shifting and an above normal amount of tension on the chain/drive train. Not on bobble or jump. Now that I am back on the flatland It worked fluidly not a square to be found. And of course I try made in USA products and buy USA made products as much as I can. Took a shot at this chain ring and glad I did. My new brand moving forward.

Great quality and finish. The tooth count is exactly what I needed... the only problem I have with the chainring is the few non-shark tooth teeth that are designed into the ring. It might just be my particular setup. I'm running a 2x10(39/46 x 11-27T) on a 1991 Cannondale black lightening. The ring drops to the lower ring when I'm in the two highest gears on the cassette. It might just be to much cross chaining. It seems to slip off when the crank is at the non shark tooth teeth... I don't have any problem with a normal 53t ring.

I have used a variety of chainrings over the past five years or so, FSA, SRAM Force, WickWerx, Praxis. Each of these were much more costly purchases. I have ridden these SharkTooth chainrings for a thousand miles or so and cannot detect any significant difference in shift quality compared to the others. The only unknown to me is how long they will wear, but at this price that is not a concern.It is a plus to have a 38-tooth chainring option.

When riding on the larges cog on the cassette the chain rubs on the shorter teeth on the chainring. which makes a ticking sound, but once on the highest gear (smallest cog) its runs smooth. Will not work well with a 1/8 x 1/2 chain.
