Reviewing a LEGO set can sometimes be difficult because, at the end of the day, LEGO usually delivers exactly what you'd expect. Fortunately, this set was no exception and provided a very enjoyable building and play experience.The first thing I always look for is whether all of the pieces are included. I'm happy to report that everything was accounted for in the box. There were no missing bags, missing parts, or surprises during the build process.The instructions were also very well done, which is typical for LEGO. My six-year-old son was able to put the set together on his own with very little assistance. The step-by-step guide was clear and easy to follow, making this a great set for younger builders who are starting to gain confidence with more detailed builds.Once assembled, the finished product looks great. The race car has a sporty design, and the car carrier truck adds another layer of play value. My son immediately started loading and unloading the car, creating races, and coming up with different scenarios. The combination of vehicle transport and racing creates plenty of opportunities for imaginative play long after the build is complete.My only real complaint is with how the race car fits on the upper level of the carrier. It almost seems slightly oversized for the space provided. While it does fit, it doesn't stay in place as securely as I would have liked. During play, the car can shift around or come loose, which can be a little frustrating for younger kids.That minor issue aside, this is still a very enjoyable LEGO set with a straightforward build, excellent instructions, and plenty of playability. If your child enjoys vehicles, race cars, or LEGO City sets in general, this one is likely to be a hit.

Right out of the box, the set was well organized, with easy to follow instructions that made building a fun activity for my grandson.The car carrier truck itself is quite impressive. The adjustable loading ramp is a fantastic feature that adds a nice touch to the play experience. The ramp allows for smooth loading and unloading of the race car, which my grandson loves to do over and over. It's great for developing fine motor skills as he manouvers the pieces.The two included mini figures—a racer and a driver—are a fun addition that spark creative storytelling. My grandson enjoys racing them against each other.Overall, this set is great for encouraging imaginative play. It offers plenty of opportunities for creative scenarios between the truck and race car. If you’re looking for a LEGO set that provides both building fun and imaginative play, I’d definitely recommend the LEGO City Race Car and Car Carrier Truck.
