For love of Israel and the Jewish People
I found the story of a young female Mossad Operative and Combatant compelling! Sylvia's desire to leave the comforts of a good home and promising life to follow her dreams and love affair with the Israeli People resonated with me. The courage to actually do what you think about in your heart is inspirational. Sylvia Rafael was a unique individual that caused most all who came to know her to fall in love with her. I loved reading about the life of a Mossad Agent and how they really had to pretend to be someone else. We all do this in minor ways but those risking their lives must be very good at it. I love Israel and the Jewish Story. I hate the fact that so much of the world seeks to destroy them when all they want is to live in peace. I am humbled by Sylvia's story.

Sylvia Rafael
An enthralling read of a remarkable woman. Highly recommend. Surprisingly Sylvia’s story is virtually unknown in South Africa outside of the Jewish community.

I enjoyed reading the account of Sylvia Raphael's life
I enjoyed reading the account of Sylvia Raphael's life, however it was focussed on the hunt for Ali Hassan Salameh but it would have been interesting to read about other missions she was involved in.

A riveting, exciting and heartbreaking story of a woman who gave everything she had to what she believed in, only to be discarded by those whom she served when it was expedient to them. Sylvia deserved better, those she served deserved less than what she rendered to them. She was truly the person of superior character in this so oft repeated story of life.

worth the read
Overall the book was good but there were a few times it seemed to skip about, like a page or two were out of order.

A true hero.
This book is about commitment to a cause and a love for Israel and its people. I cried at the end of this excellent treatise about her life and loves and was glad she found love in her own time.

Sad But Compelling True Story About A Combatant (Spy) In The Israeli Secret Service (The Mossad)
Gripping and true story about a South African woman who ends up working for The Mossad (the Israeli CIA), tracking down one of the most notorious Palestinian terrorists/militants of all time - the organizer of the Munich Olympics Massacre of Israeli athletes back in 1972. A lesson to be learned here. Because the wrong person is assassinated! Probably the most blatant example of poor planning by an outfit usually held in the highest regard for its professionalism. How an idealistic agent working in a highly secret world becomes embroiled and accused of a terrible mistake - murdering a totally innocent man, who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Couldn't put it down. (Note - the movie "Munich" by Steven Spielberg is partially based on this account.)
