IR oil for IR compressor. Sure - maybe - could have used 'generic', but for the $ over time, why?
Well, I did a complete maintenance service on my IR vertical compressor. It's ~20yr old and overalll in great shape. New air filter, belt and oil service and a thorough cleaning and drain. Bought a new remote drain kit here too, making it even easier to pull the moisture from the tank. Bullet proof compressor, but like anything mechanical, you have to do the maintenance

Excellent for cool weather
My compressor oil was whatever the previous owner had used, and when the temperature was cooler, in the 40's, the motor would have a hard time starting and most times trip the breaker, which was rated at 40 amps, should have been more than adequate. I changed oil, added this "All Season Select" and now even at 30 degrees it starts fine, and sounds a lot smoother with less lugging. It doesn't get much colder than that here, so I can't comment on sub freezing temperatures.

I have used this oil on my I R air compressor. Ran reliably for 12 years with one oil change. Great oil.

Great oil for compressors.
Bought my compressor at Tractor and supply for a very nice price and it is an inger-soll rand and this is the oil they recommend using and it does work very well with it. Highly recommend.
