Great pizza peel for conveyors

With only getting this peel today,I did put it into use immediately. I was able to use in my oven to not only put my pizza in and out of my oven with some maneuvering but with a bit more practice I should be an expert. You are able to fit a 16" or smaller pizza on your peel. Also, there is a hole on the handle so if you want to hang it on the wall in between use. If you want it shipped in a box don't be surprised when you get an over sized box with your one pizza peel inside. I purchased this after reading reviews for something different and one of the comments recommended this one. And, they do sell smaller sizes in this particular food service brand.

Just the right size to fit 3 or 4 boules of bread into the oven at once. If you need a peel, this one is good!

So, I was using a wooden peel for my pizza oven, and was making a mess of things while using it. Since getting this peel, I have had SIGNIFICANTLY better results inserting and removing my pizzas. The short handle is sturdy and easy to manipulate, while the blade of the peel is strong enough to hold the most heavily loaded pizzas. The only issue with the peel is that it is harder to manipulate the pizza inside the oven. It’s something that can be worked around, but I opted to get a turning peel to supplement my gear. Well worth it for smaller ovens, and can be used stand alone. If you can swing it, you might want a turning peel for ease of use.

I read a lot of the reviews (good and bad, but mostly the bad) while waiting for this to arrive at my door. A lot of the negative reviews pointed to how bad this product is with sticking dough and burred edges. I just want to run down my take on what those folks have complained about with this product. 1) It's got rough edges --- It does, but they aren't burred nor serrated in any way. The edges are fine. 2) Dough sticks to the paddle --- Not sure about this one as I am yet to experience it. I've had it 3 days and have made 6 pizzas using it as well as 2 calzone. Nothing has stuck yet and I use 70% hydration dough with a long, slow ferment. Not sure why folks have so much trouble with sticking. 3) The handle is rough --- For the price, do you expect polished mahogany or oak? The handle is functional, albeit somewhat in need of a better sanding. Not a problem to remedy myself. This thing is a good buy. It is built well and it has performed flawlessly for me since it arrived the other day. I am happy with this and will be buying the 16 inch version in the future.

I work at a pizza restaurant and we ordered this pizza paddle because we needed an emergency one back in December. Fast forward 6 months to June, this is the best pizza paddle we've ever had. Normally we buy ours through American metalcraft, and after a few months of wear and tear and beating the hell out of it in a restaurant the rivets are popping out. However this one has not lost a single rivet, and the handle is not loose. I highly recommend this paddle if you want a quality paddle. And if you use this in a home environment I don't see it ever breaking on you, as long as you take care of it.

Great quality and super lightweight

This is a true 16" peel, which means it can fit a 16" pizza, which is the biggest pizza you can fit in a standard US oven (most ovens have racks that are 16" deep with just a tiny bit of room in front and back). HOWEVER... this thing is a monster. 16" is bigger than you think. And the handle doesn't detach or fold or anything. The whole thing is three feet long. So, you better have some place you can stash it when not in use, because it won't fit in any cabinets I've ever seen. That being said, this thing is great. I wish the peel part were just a little more sturdy feeling, but I understand the limitations of being thin and light, and it works just fine, so I'm not too worried about it, especially at this price.

by the time i got this it was so warped and banged up its barley useable.. handle is also loose poor front edge does not sit flat so you cant even scoop up a pizza.. Dont buy ..Poor packaging and craftmanship.
