Excellent product, anyone should try it!
Excellent water bottle for cycling. My husband was against getting a hard wall bottle vs squeezable one but I went with my gut and I’m super happy about it. Bottle is very well insulated and beats any insulated bottles ( plastic ones) that we have by a landslide. Water stays icy with actual ice in it for few hours. Easy to use, water flow is great. I found that not installing the small straw ( I’m assuming for improving the water flow) actually helps even more. Fits really well in bottle holder - almost like locking in it and of course one of the biggest advantages is not drinking from plastic bottles - especially when you add any electrolytes packets or flavoring. Cons: - Outside scratches easily but I didn’t bother me personally. - I wish the bottles would come in larger size. Overall very happy with this bottle and will get more colors in the future.

CamelBak coming after Nalgene and Hydro Flask?
I have been a CamelBak product user since they started as a business decades ago. They were very much into their bladders and packs and I have over a dozen older packs (the newer ones don't impress me at the retail stores so I have yet to pick one up except the Rogue Light -- total disappointment.) This water bottle is really amazing. It keeps things cold for a good duration (at least for the event I am doing). It is easy to clean (unlike their bladders that require special tools and chemicals -- I am so used to that now so it's not an issue but still a pain to clean the pipes and the bladder). One tiny con is the opening/closing of the spout is a bit stiff in the beginning, but I use both hands to flip it (definitely not easy flipping it from locked to unlock while riding). But other than that, I love that it is easy to use, easy to clean, doesn't leak (if locked), and I like the color of this one and it seems well designed to fit snug in a bike water bottle carrier. I have two of these and I absolutely love these. A few people I recommended to and bought it asked me about the straw. It is not really a straw, and it does not touch the bottom intentionally. It is not a design flaw. It is designed so you can sip it or tilt and drink out of it. It also has an additional function of an internal pressure vent because these are not squeeze bottles (stainless steel). I use these for biking, short hikes, and even for working out now. These are amazing! In the end, I hope they keep making these. Worth every penny for a nice double walled water bottle that keeps things cool for hours. I would buy these repeatedly as needed. Just keep the price below $40 and I will always come back to pick one up if one is lost, stolen or just gets destroyed from wear and tear. Highly recommend! Hope this helps.

Keeps water cold and fits in standard cages- Great item!
Keeps water cold for hours! Filled them with a couple of ice cubes, hit the road on a crazy humid hot day, and kept the water cold for well over 2 and a half hours ( bottles were empty by then). Well worth it. Fits nicely in standard cages, does rattle a little on rough spots on road though zero concerns about falling out. Bottles get scratched up on metal cages but I don't care; only drawback is if your hands or gloves are sweaty, they can be tough to get out of cages. I ordered some grip tape to solve that issue.

Mixed results - Your satisfaction may depend on your use.
Overall verdict: I have several of these and like them for certain uses but not others... Pros: Easy to clean, keeps cold drinks cold, nice colors, no plastic taste. Cons: Reduced capacity compared to similar sized bottles, leaks from cap, awkward to drink from while riding, scratches, inflexible (and therefore less secure), no included dust/mud cover on many models. I ride a lot and on a mixture of multi-use paths, gravel roads, and single-track. These are great if you're riding on pavement. Off-pavement, I find I prefer a soft-sided bottle that I can lock down in my holder and I won't feel bad if it bounces out unnoticed and is never seen again. Because you cannot squeeze the water bottle, you must tip it all the way up and tilt your head back which can be awkward while riding. I can never get all the drink out through the nozzle and have to unscrew the to to get the last bit. I often feel little sprays of moisture on my legs from the drink leaking from the nozzle or from the screw-on top...if it's water then "oh well", but it's not so fun when it's sticky sports drink. The inner capacity is reduced due to the insulation so you won't be carrying as much water as a similar-sized plastic water bottle. Because it's insulated it's best to put a cold drink in it. Putting semi-cold tap water in and popping it in the fridge overnight for your morning ride won't get you the icy cold drink you might be hoping for. The paint will scratch.

Keeps drinks cold!
Nice water bottle. The double wall insulation will keep drinks cold. I put 4 or 5 ice cubes in with my water and it will stay cold for at least 4 or 5 hours. The water will be gone by then anyway. You could probably keep it water cold overnight and have it ready for the next day, or have it be waiting for for you at the car when you get back from a hike. Nice alternative to a squeeze bottle. You just suck the water out. I have have used this on long bike rides 4 times now. Usually put a hydration pack in this bottle and use it as the second bottle. A drawback of using this on my bike is that my bottle cages scratch the paint on this bottle. Like, this bottle is scratched up really bad after the 4 rides. It's going to be pretty ugly soon. Otherwise, I think this bottle is great if you don't use it with metal bike cages.

Ditch plastic and switch to stainless
I bought the 22 ounce CamelBak stainless steel water bottle for cycling and have no regrets. I initially bought this as I am transitioning away from plastic drinking bottles and food containers. The stainless CamelBak keeps your drinks colder for longer than their plastic version and water tastes crisper in this as well.. I was concerned that the bottle would rattle while in its cage when riding but that has not been the case. I am a road rider so I can’t speak to it rattling if you’re a gravel or mountain biker. The stainless CamelBak is also much easier to clean than the plastic ones. I would highly recommend this product.

Definite upgrade over a plastic bottle
[From a road cyclist] Even with the added weight, this bottle is a must have if you're going on longer rides, like 2+ hours. It keeps liquids cold or cool, and will retain ice depending on outside temp. I recently did a morning ride in SoCal in ~68 F weather and while the ice did melt, my water was much cooler and fresher than the plastic bottles (even insulated) could match. Added notes: -I ride a Roubaix, and while the bottle did easily fit into the Specialized bottle cage, it rattles a bit over rough pavement. The cap also leaks from time to time, but I've found this is solved by closing the valve (rather than always leaving it open to drink). -This bottle is absolute MUST for endurance rides, like 60+ miles. I recently did a century and this thing saved me, so much better than drinking the lukewarm bathwater we're all sadly accustomed to :)

Scratches way too easily, disappointing build quality
I bought this specifically to use on my bike, but after putting it in my water bottle holder just a couple of times, it already had noticeable scratches all over the exterior. The finish on the stainless steel just doesn't hold up well to normal cycling use. While it does its main job of keeping water cold, I really expected better durability and a sturdier build from CamelBak—especially at this price point. It works, but if cosmetic durability and solid build quality matter to you, you might want to look elsewhere.

Great premium water bottle
Great water bottle! I have a Trek FX Sport 6 and the seat post bottle cage will only accommodate a short water bottle or else the top tube would prevent it from being used. It looks like a premium water bottle, no plastic taste to the water, easy to drink from one handed and easily cleaned. Kept my electrolyte drink cold for 2 hours on a day with 29 Celsius weather in the sun, no problem. I understand it can keep water cold for 12 hours but I drink a lot on the bike and will always need to refill every couple of hours. Worry not, your drink will stay cold for as long as you need it to.

Perfect
The stainless steel bike bottle has excellent quality and keeps drinks cold very well. The locking system works perfectly and prevents any leaks, and overall performance is great. However, choosing the white color was a mistake, as it got scratched by the bike holder and left black marks that affected its appearance. Still, I don’t really mind anymore because the quality is outstanding.

Excellent bottle, Amazon needs to pack it better for transport however...
Great product. Keeps my water ice-cold for hours even in the hot Queensland sun. My bottle arrived a little dented though, from transit? I I hope Amazon package these sorts of items a little better in the future as all it was packaged in was a thing plastic bag inside a thing paper bag, no padding anywhere to be found to protect the bottle. Amazon did refund a portion of the purchase though and let me keep the bottle so, overall am still very happy with my purchase.

Better than the old plastic bottle and your drink stays cold
Camelback podium did the job, didn’t miss my usual plastic squeeze bottle at all and the best drink my drink stayed cool in the 28 degrees heat of Croatia. A little tip put a couple of ice cubes in it and the drink will be even more refreshing
