Inventive, imaginative, and BRILLIANTLY themed - there truly is something for everyone in this book. My little boy adored the journey. So did my daughter. So did Mom and Dad. The writing is vivid and endlessly funny... and there's SO much heart. Highly recommended.

Oswald is a charming tale of friendship, childhood adventure, and dreams. Living under the deck at Joey’s house, Oswald wants to become famous. Joey does his best to help, but when things don’t go as planned ꟷ Oswald gets “relocated.” Meeting new friends along the way, through scrapes and twists and turns, keeping promises and telling the truth, even when it might get you in trouble, they figure out how to make everything right.This is a perfect book to read with a young friend. It is a terrific mix of facts, fantasy, and real life. I highly recommend it.

I read this with my son and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, animals lovers both of us. It’s a happy book about a camaraderie that spans species, human as well as various urban-dwelling animals. The story illustrates the value of friendship and loyalty over fame, delivered in a way that isn’t at all preachy. I recommend this book for an animal-filled experience that is both adventurous and uplifting.

This beautifully illustrated book is a joy to read with my nieces. All the characters are engaging and real. We all know a very busy mom who needs help, friends who stick together through bad times, and that one friend that surprisingly rises to the occasion. In a world where fame seems more important than substance, the story emphasizes values. Oswald learns to set new priorities. Compassion ultimately wins out over selfish drive, but not before we sit back and enjoy the author's story of a family's bad luck that gets turned around by an imaginative and entertaining supporting cast of animal friends. Read this book with your young family members.

I loved it! Through hilarious misadventure and camaraderie, Oswald the Opossum's obsessive pursuit of fame brings him something even better and far more universal–– something which all children want and need.
