Man, I was so pumped to get this grinder and it finally came today and it looks like it's from the "not good enough for retail display" pile. There are a bunch of flaws, nicks, and damage to the treads. Like it had been rolling around in the back of a truck with the threads exposed. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the finish for a $40 grinder, kinda pissed actually. My cheapo chinese grinder looks nicer than this one. If you're about to drop $40 on this grinder, don't buy it from Santa Cruz on Amazon. Find one at a local shop (if you have one that sells these, I don't) and thoroughly inspect it in person. Ridiculous. What a buzz kill. Update 1/8/22: contacted the seller about this issue and the seller stated they'll replace the grinder. I'll update on the quality of the replacement when I receive it.

World’s smallest grinder and completely over priced!!! Yes, it seems to be well-made and would be a great gift for a Hobbit!
