I haven’t had it on a scale but I would imagine it’s pushing about a pound and a half or two. Less than a half inch deck very simple.

I’m not sure what the exact weight is but this grill is amazing. It’s super light and compact. Perfect to throw in your backpack.

you can burn wood, so you don't need to carry the extra weight backpacking like sterno.

What are the dimensions of the top of the stove, the actual cooking area?

The top is smaller than the main area where your fire will be. Top is maybe one half inch to inch and the base probably inch and a half to2 inches. Great for stews, small game butchered or boiling water. I hope this helps.
