I purchased this for me and my sisters to try after seeing them on TikTok for years. We were so excited! Until we opened the bag... The packaging itself is very cute, I like the cute cartoon crab. It's also kinda crazy seeing how many little crabs fills one bag alone, it makes you wonder how exactly they harvest them. That being said, as soon as you open the bag you are hit with an overwhelming fishy smell. I hate the smell of fish, I stay away from eating it just because the smell is unappealing. I do, however, love crabs, squid, octopus, shrimps, and anything else. I figured this snack would smell like the sea, but I was not expecting such a putrid odor. Imagine a dirty fish tank, fish food, or the girl your ex told you not to worry about. Anyways. These crabs are like hardened stink bombs. As soon as you take a bite, the smell hits you again like a bus. Ugh, I'm shuddering just thinking about it! The consistency is really hard and stale, again, I was expecting something crunchy but not THAT stale. The taste you get right off the bat is sweet, followed by an overwhelming putrid fishy taste. I simply couldn't, I kept on spitting this out every time I tried to eat one. Even that was hard to do, the desecrated crab shell kept sticking to the inside of my mouth and I'd have to literally wipe my tongue with a napkin. Stay away from these, please. If they were cheaper, I'd say go for it, what's a couple bucks? But this is too much of a price to pay.

Has a strong crabby-fish smell. Not to my personal taste but they were good. They were fresh, decent texture, it was flavored with a sweet-savory seasoning. It wasn't spicy. Great quality though.

Absolutely horrible product do not waste your money it tastes like fishy trash the ads are absolutely false about how the moisture inside and it's crunchy yes it's crunchy but it's the most horrible tasting thing you could ever put in your mouth and I'll try anything once but this don't waste your money buyer beware they shouldn't even allow these people to sell this product through Amazon and I don't take my reviews lately when I do make a review I put plenty of good ones on and when it calls for it I'll put the bad ones on as well hope this helps any potential buyers I purchase two bags thinking well if they're this good I'll probably want two bags worth and I ate part of one and tried to give them away and the woman I gave them to said her dog wouldn't even eat them and they were the worst thing that she's ever tasted also Amazon's higher ups I believe need to test or taste these type of products before allowing these companies to sell through their company

Upon other bag you hit with the strongest fishy smell ever, it’s like when you open a container of fish flakes. The taste is horrible , not sweet just very very fishy and crunchy. The pieces kinda get stuck To your teeth and it leaves a bad aftertaste. Not worth the money spent for horrible quality. The only thing good about this snack is the packaging and the little crabs.

Serving in the military for twenty-six years opened my life—and my eyes—to different countries, cultures, and cuisines around the world. That experience, coupled with my appreciation for food, has given me the opportunity to try dishes and snacks from places such as the Middle East, Panama, Haiti, Bangladesh, Poland, Japan, and Korea, just to name a few. I am certainly not an expert on food, nor am I a critic in any way. I simply enjoy experiencing different foods and sharing my honest opinion based on my own palate. With that said, I have to say that this ready-to-eat fried Japanese crab snack did not agree with my palate. I believe the product description is accurate regarding its freshness, taste, texture, and overall quality. Unfortunately, it is simply one that is not for me. That won’t stop me from exploring, though! I look forward to trying other Asian snacks as I come across them and have the opportunity to do so. You never know what new favorite you might discover when you’re willing to try something different!

I mean I don’t really know what I expected but if I had to equate it to anything it would be kind of like those sweetened seaweed rolls that you get at an oriental market. It’s definitely an acquired taste as it has a very strong seafood flavor. The smell is a lot stronger than the actual taste of the crabs. Almost tasted like I was eating sweetened fish bait at some point. Not unbearable but also not my favorite. Not spicy and the quality seemed okay. I don’t really care for the price for the amount that I got but I guess it is technically seafood so… texture is surprisingly not as crunchy as I thought it would be. Whatever they’re marinated in probably tenderizes the shell a bit. Your breath is gonna be KICKING afterwards though. My husband wouldn’t come near me.

Okay, this wasn’t what i expected.! The video i watched made it look so yummy.! But nooo it taste like fish food like the little flake kind.! The shell is sweet and when you bite it .. it’s empty.. SWEET AND FISHY DONT GO TOGETHER Don’t ask me how i know what fish food taste like i was a kid lol.! But i don’t recommend this . it does have afishy smell when you open it .! Be aware.! Not worth what they charge for it.

More sweet then what i prefer, wouldn't have bought if i'd read better lol. Looks exactly like what's shown. snack has nice crunch, good price for amount, and smelled like the ocean lol. Fishyness doesn't deter me but i was thinking it was gunna be spicy with a hint of sweet

It’s absolutely amazing 🦀 It literally tastes like the ocean, lol It is fishy, sweet, and not spicy at all. I understand it’s not for everyone, but I really enjoy the crisp texture and that rich seafood flavor. Diffidently will buy again The negative part it is bit pricy bec of the shipment.
