I bought this to place my laptop on and put at the same level as dual monitor stand, works perfectly for that. I would highly recommend this for laptop or monitors.

The arm is really made well. There are a few things that weren’t mentioned in the product info. At the base of the arm are 3 inputs. One input is a USB female connection and the other 2 inputs are 3.5 stereo female input jacks. The wires run (3-4 feet) from the back of the base and terminate with 1 USB male and 2 - 3.5 male stereo plugs. The wiring is easily removable if you decide that it’s not needed. The other thing that wasn’t mentioned, or I missed it, the arm is adjustable, weight wise. One of the supplied allen keys is used to tighten or loosen the response of the arm when it’s operational. This arm is top notch in quality and I’m amazed at the price for what you get! I’m attaching some pic’s, hope they help? By the way, the laptop is a 13" MacBook P.

It works ok for our laptop as intended but it really needs some type of strap to secure the device to the tray as it will shift around if you try to move the arm around to accommodate your productivity needs such as swinging, raising or lowering the arm. It would take one curious cat to rub against the device or an inadvertent bump in passing to end in tragedy. I will be adding some 2" velcro or some type of strap, gel tape or other to secure it without bolting it down and ruining the mobility of a laptop. The gas spring tube adjusts easily and once set allows the arm to raise and lower the arm with positive input. It will bounce the laptop up off the tray if tension is not adjusted properly. Would work very well as a monitor arm if we ever decide to change the system So far so good and I will update if necessary.

I have a 17" Apple Macbook Pro, which is fairly hefty, and this unit handles it easily. Just attach your laptop to the laptop tray with a thin luggage strap tightly across the laptop, just below the keys, and you're in business. Clamp the arm onto the closest edge of a table about the same height as your bed, which is heavy and wide enough to not tip over, when you swing the laptop around over your bed so you can use your laptop. Make sure you use the supplied hex wrench to properly adjust the up and down tension on the arm, so the arm and attached laptop stay put when you raise and lower the laptop on the arm, otherwise it will pop up and hit something. I have used my adjustable Gibbon laptop/arm setup for over a year, and it makes it possible to do everything I want with my laptop, since sitting is no longer an option.

I had a hard time configuring it to hold my laptop. The Vesa mount wasnt straight like an "X" so, I had to twist the base to accomodate the laptop so it wouldnt fall over. Of course, because of this, I am limited to how it can be used.

The arm on this bundle is great. It works well and I love it. It is extremely sturdy and doesn't move when you type. This review is about the tray that attaches to the arm. It doesn't hold the laptop in a safe manner. As soon as you push the arm out of the way, the laptop becomes unbalanced and falls off. Trays of quality have clips that have spring loaded or ratcheted mounts that hold the laptop securely to the tray. I will be throwing this in the garbage and getting one that does its job. You will throw your money away if you choose this laptop tray.

Great device for pandemic work at home! I've set mine up in the living room with my older 11" macbook air which fits perfectly on the table top adapter. I feel like 13" would be comfortable but 15" might be pushing your luck but you could probably make it work by going thru and tightening every screw.

I definitely like this product, but I found the lack of documentation on changing the arm to better support the laptop holder to be annoying. I eventually figured it out (hint: look at the very top, there's a screw there, loose it and the face plate will turn.)
