We got this to build into our guest room with plenty of time to construct and orient the bed before our guests arrived for the holiday season. The construction was quite difficult with confusing instructions and poorly labelled pieces and fasteners.This increased the buildtime by a lot, but we were able to get through it, until it came to anchoring the frame to the wall. There were only 4 small anchoring attachment spots and we had to enlist the help of neighbors to hold the frame up while the bed was laid down because the hydraulics were so tight. The injury risk during construction was high. We used the included anchors but as soon as we anchored all four, following the advisement on the instructions, all four anchors ripped out of the wall.Even if we replaced the anchors, there is no way we would feel safe putting a family member in this contraption.The WORST part, is once we approached the seller for an avenue for a return and a refund, they simply offered us $50 for replacement fasteners and offered no advisement on a return shipment. UPS does not ship items the length of the longest pieces, and the seller could not advise on any alternative.This was expensive, dangerous, and ultimately a futile endeavor. Buyer beware.

There were a lot of mixed reviews on this Murphy bed but I took a chance. My advice would be to go through all of the hardware and organize it better. That's my suggestion for easier assembly. Take your time and really look at the instructions and everything will be fine. I put the entire bed together myself other than the last four or five steps which you definitely need multiple people. We have a 10-in mattress and it fit perfectly. I am very happy with the quality, assembly and instructions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a Murphy bed. Just take your time putting it together.

The product is sturdy and worth the price. However, my wife and I spent over 8 hours assembling it. I want to note that the LED lights do not come with a power supply, and wiring them will require some additional work. The instructions suggest having 4 people for assembly, but we were able to complete it with just the two of us. That being said, it was quite challenging in a few steps, so patience is key. I am currently researching a way to add a battery-powered remote control supply since there are no outlets near the bed. The ones on the wall are covered by the shelves, and the unit is immovable after mounting it to studs to support the weight of the unit. Although the description says it will hold up to an 8-inch mattress, our 11-inch mattress fits without any issues.

Assembly was fairly easy, though you need to block off an entire day. Biggest issue we has, was not all of the parts were labeled and some parts were labeled incorrectly with numbers not on the parts list. We had to purchase hardware to finish because we didn't have enough of the correct size bolts and too many of the wrong size bolts. Lots of leftover hardware. Very sturdy once assembled.

- Lowering the bed once assembled takes down the entire frame making it incredibly challenging to anchor the bed to the wall. The gas spring is WAY too strong.- There are no spacers for anchoring it, which is problematic if your home has molding on the floor- Instructions are generally unclear and black/white pictures only; had to disassemble/reassemble numerous parts because of it.- Some holes are misaligned. I've had to take the drill to some parts to make it fit.- Requested replacement parts for some things that arrived damaged/unsuitable - the company sent an entire box of parts instead of individual components, which is HEAVY and a 2-person liftI will likely take the $800 loss and pitch it. Should have gotten something from IKEA.

We bought this because we liked the design and grey finish. The quality is several steps below Ikea grade. Assembly takes time and care is required because the directions, although fairly complete leaves out key elements regarding which side goes where. All the parts arrived and were labeled. The external packaging was damaged. The wooden parts are painted as expected. However, the wooden parts are packed without a separator to prevent rubbing and scratching during shipment. So, the painted wooden parts arrived scratched and scuffed. We contacted the seller to get touch-up paint. The seller responded promptly and advised they didn't have any paint and offer $50 compensation and we could get our own paint. We will do that, but color matching is very difficult. The fit is OK on some parts, not so on others. It looks worn even though its new.This bed is for occasional use in a Guest room so it's adequate. For daily use in a place where it will be seen, look elsewhere.After several months the bed sags badly in the middle. Thus is the result of only 4 small wooden supports on a queen size bed, which is completely insufficient. These wooden supports now have a curve. I will be replacing them with something much stronger.So, I have to rebuild an essentially new bed. This thing is bad.

I like the look of the bed and how big it is and the purpose it’ll serve for me….my issue is it took me almost two separate days to build it…I did work but came home and spent hours in it. It is a bit difficult and need two ppl. It’s very sturdy and heavy. My other big issue is that the gas springs mechanism to lift the bed as seen in picture are longer and I’ve closed the bed to help reach and attach and screw them on but nothing helps and bed is stuck in open position. If anyone has ideas I’d appreciate it…..Update…I was able to fix the spring mechanism by going behind the bed once lifted…had someone help me lift it while I was inside the Murphy bed and installed the spring mechanism.Now I’m loving it and it’s easy to use.Would’ve given it a 5 stars but the support could be stronger and unfortunately when laying on it the center bends down a bit.

Bed arrived earlier than expected. Took about 5 hours to assemble. Instructions are pictures only and some are are tiny and hard to make out.Worst part is ALL hex screws on the face of the bed are visible.
