I initially went on Amazon looking for a closure because I didnt have time to go pick one up from my normal hair place. I came across Amella Hair read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I ordered the 16"inch closure with the 18, 20, and 22 inch body wave bundle. Received the hair packaged nicely in a cute box with a free gift. Opened the hair, immediately washed and let it air dry. During the wash there was very little shedding and I didnt notice any yarn or odd smell coming from the hair. I went and had the hair installed and some of it colored. She colored the closure and the 20inch and I love it. It looks so natural and feels so soft. I work in the healthcare and for 8-12 hours out of the day my hair is covered with a surgical cap. At the end of my shift all I do is take a lil water wet my hands and run my fingers through my hair and keep it moving. I have not experienced any tangling or unusual shedding so far but it's only been 4 days since I had the hair put in. I have been wearing the hair in it's natural wavy state. I spray it with a lil bit of Cantu revitalizing curls mixed with water and I also rub some coconut oil on it as well. I dont put too much heavy products on the hair because I want to straighten it. I will try to remember to update you in about 2 weeks.

The hair is decent, probably about 95g per bundle. I usually do two bundles on install (130g to 150g per bundle) and for the first time in a long time, I feel like at least 2 1/2 or 3 would have been more efficient. Flat irons okay, doesn’t seem to lift, matt or shed as yet. This is day 2 of my install. I will update after three weeks of wear. Note the owner of this hair will send you an e-mail right after you order and right after you received it as if you are getting it installed at 10pm after it’s delivered with a list of maintenance for the hair & Asking you to review the hair. The way they reached out to me, made me believe I bought crappy hair. I’m not sure who would follow these instructions but.... see it below: Message from Amella hair: Here I summarized some hair care tips that I thought may be helpful for you: 1.Co-wash your hair regularly with mild shampoo and good conditioner to prevent dry/matted/shedding(2-3 times a week will be good) . 2.Remove knots gently with fingers or wide-toothed comb gently to avoid shedding(start with the ends, 2 inches at a time, and slowly and patiently). Avoid not brush harshly. 3.Wear a cap when you swim or shower to avoid knots; if your hair appears dry or tangle after long time installation, please let your hair take a shower with good conditioner for some minutes and they dry your hair gently and make it smooth gently. 4.We adopted high temperature technique to make hair into beautiful styles without any chemicals, so it may lose wavy/curls after washing, please restyle it with flexi rods or contact us for help. 5.If you plan to dye or bleach the hair, please contact us for more suggestions. Bleach Closure/Frontal Knots, bleaching hair into #613,#27 color, will not be recommended. 6.Our hair is 100% chemical free, but hair in summer may have smells due to the humid environment of stock or shampoo, please remove it by co-washing your hair with good conditioner to remove it. If it’s still exists, please contact us for help or for replacement. 7.If you hair appears dry tangle matted or shedding after some days installation, please don’t anxious, please wash it with good conditioner for 3-4 times to let your hair get enough nutrition;if you can’t handle it, please tell us, we can help you out. I personally only keep hair in for about 3 weeks max. I can’t do past that and no, I don’t save the hair. Usually, I have to love the hair to reuse it; so thinking about it 🤔 I won’t be saving this hair.

So far really enjoying the hair, full and soft, holds a curl well. will update with how it held up.

The hair came really fast. I ordered really late Friday night with standard shipping, and it came Tuesday morning. So I’m sure if you ordered with expedited shipping it would definitely be there the next day. I definitely prefer this over Aliexpress which usually takes longer. I also really liked the packaging and branding they have. Attention to detail is always a plus, because it shows the company cares about the product. The hair is so soft, and it’s really full. I combed my fingers through it so much, and I didn’t get any shedding. And the waves were still intact after all the finger combing I did to it. I’m getting it installed later today so hopefully it follows through in the long run. But for now, I’m super impressed. And for the price? Can’t beat it. It also came with really cute lashes, which surprised me because usually the lashes that come with hair look cheap and I wouldn’t bother wearing, but I actually might use these. They also have the branding, which I love. And the customer service and follow up is very good too. They get back to you pretty quickly, and I’ve had a good experience as far as that goes. They for sure exceeded my expectations so far, but we’ll see how it holds up over time. Will update! Update! I love this hair, it’s so soft! We bleached the knots on the closure and shampooed and conditioned the hair before installing and the waves came back so pretty! And the closure took the bleach really well. I did end up straightening the hair just to see if it would get bone straight, and YES it does. Honestly you can’t beat this hair for the price. I’ve gotten no shedding and no tangling SO FAR. I’ll give another update, but so far no complaints.

It's been a little over a year since I last purchased a hair weave for myself. As a Maker of wigs for off Broadway shows I've dealt with every quality of hair out there and without a doubt this hair is TOP NOTCH AMAZING! Immediatly inviting with it's neat and clean packaging this hair comes in thick full bundles, without a smell, true to length, and with a complimentary dual set of eyelashes. This company Amella does a great job in ensuring customer satisfaction so I must say do not be deterred by the few negative reviews. I've found that most people who complain likely did something wrong with their hair somewhere along the way. Having purchased this hair more than once in multiple textures I find it lifts very well with no breakage so if you're looking to color don't be weary as IT HARDLY SHEDS, and I don't mean lightly. I've been wearing the unit I made for about 4 weeks now, it functions great as my easy throw on everyday piece, I washed it three times to rid it or product build-up and have lost practically no hair. I always let it air dry over night and the natural hair texture retention is unparalleled. As I made a unit I cannot attest for constant wear with a sew-in but this hair is pretty hard to tangle and as for dryness, there is next to none. Now with any hair, it's never suggested to cut the weft, the only shedding I experienced with this hair was the curly Brazilian variety I got and I'm sure it was due to cutting the weft and not fully re-sealing it. Still it was minimal to none. As for the comments on "curl holding", this hair makes a gorgeous curl, and like any hair, natural or weaved, if it's not caked up with product the hold should be no problem. I curl it dry with a heat protectant and little gel. I also let my curls sit to better retain definition. For the price it can't be beat but more importantly THE QUALITY, is completely AMAZING especially for the price. I ordered the 14 16 and 18 wave and I'll say if you're looking for length, go for length. Completely pleased with it I only wished I got a longer length as I am tall so it requires a little more to get that long hair look. With that said I've got a 18, 20 & 22 coming with a full frontal Saturday and I can't wait to make another beautiful piece.

Pretty thin, split ends on the hair

I was very Leary to order this hair.. I’ve been burned so many times buying hair that was not of good quality. I decided to let my guard down again and ordered this hair on March 21, 2018 and it came March 24th. I didn’t put the hair in right away because I was just unsure about it. So I ordered hair from another company to have backup just in case this Hair was bad. I had the Amella hair installed Friday April 6, 2018 as a sew in. Let me just say that so far I love this hair. Very soft, voluminous, no odor and true to length. I’m only giving it 4 stars because I have only had this hair for almost 2 Days.. I need some time with it before I give it the final review rating.. I workout and I will care for the hair properly so I will come back with a final review in a month.. I say if you’re interested give it a try and always remember you pay for what you get! This hair is really holding up. I have been working out 6 Days a week 2-3 hours. Aqua Zumba and this hair hasn’t given me any trouble. I have even slept on this hair without wrapping it up at night because sometimes I’m too tired! The closure is even withstanding the activities. I have not put any chemicals on it nor heat! But I’m happy that I bought the hair. I will still leave it at 4 stars because the curls don’t last.. Minimal shedding but is Still worth every penny!!!!
