I tried a LOT of different colors for my front door with “copper” being the goal. Nothing satisfied me. Then, when I found this, I was very hopeful. I am THRILLED with the result! Beautiful, easy to apply, dries well and quickly - highly recommend!

I'm an artist tasked with creating a large installation fabricated from oxidized steel. I decided I would experiment with reactive metal coatings. I had to push the boundaries of the medium with the goal of creating a color palette that met my esthetic objectives on this project. If you experiment with patina solutions, you can coax a range of colors. This was my first time with reactive paint. It was amazing. Smooth application, excellent coverage in one coat on a primed surface, and a tough finish. It contains actual copper, or bronze particles. Its an acrylic medium that made for easy cleanup. I also purchased the brand's rust activator and patinas which I highly recommend. I apply the paint with sea sponges and cloths, rubbing the paint, burnishing it onto the sheet of cut steel. The fast drying characteristic of the paint is an advantage. My rubbing and burnishing application technique using copper or bronze paints, makes the finish look like solid copper or bronze. I'm nearly finished with my installation, and I'm thrilled with the results.

I got the copper and the green patina, and painted my fiberglass concrete ish planters that I have indoors. Used a spray bottle and gently misted the copper on the second coat (as instructed) while it was drying. Waited an hour or two and went back over it with the copper on a dry sponge. Perfection!

I purchased this to create an antiqued copper look to an existing white drop ceiling grid in a bathroom we were remodeling. I had purchased Faux Tin Ceiling Tiles with a Weathered Copper look (Drop In) and really wanted to not have to replace the grid. All I can say is - WOW!!! The photo's speak for themselves. A little goes a long way. This was done with one bottle each of the Modern Masters ME-149 Reactive Metallic Paint Copper, Modern Masters PA901-04 Aging Solution Green Patina and Modern Masters AM203-04 Metal Effects Primer. Outstanding product!

I used this copper paint to make balusters for the railings on several Decks around the house. This is the second time using this paint. The first time I made balusters for the lower deck which have withstood the winters and summers here in Colorado for several years without any signs of deterioration. I used the primer they sell on the steel pipe rolling on 2 coats prior to using this paint... I will post another review about the primmer!
