My wife has been needing daily calcium supplementation for a little over 18 months now; and for the vast majority of that time I have been ordering these Zenement branded capsules. Research and medical consultation had led us to the decision that calcium citrate was the correct option for her (as opposed to calcium carbonate). They both provide calcium, and it is not a case of one provides better calcium, they primarily have different requirements for successfully using them. This supplement comes prepared with the necessary Vitamin D3 to allow good absorption. A number of calcium supplements come with just the calcium component, which is fine if you are getting the necessary D3 from another source. Because of my wife's needs, having the two as a complex was again, our best option. So what can I say? The capsules are sizable, but not uncomfortable to swallow (photo with a capsule on a cleaned and sterilized 10p coin to demonstrate size). My wife's calcium levels came up, and she has not had any concerns with calcium since a little while after starting with these supplements. Because the quantity in each capsule is quite significant, it cuts down on how many capsules she has to take. The containers always turn up sealed (which I know you should be able to take for granted, but you never should). When I was ordering with the subscription option, they always turned up promptly. (I switched to manual ordering because sometimes it is useful to be able to order several months in one go.) The capsules don't have a particularly distinct flavour, most people would likely say the are tasteless. They also do not become gummy particularly quickly, meaning far less chance for them to get stuck "On the way down", even if you have to build yourself up to swallow them. If you are in need of calcium supplementation, remember that if you choose calcium citrate, you will need a higher dose - compared to calcium carbonate - to get the same level of calcium actually available to your system. Always try to go by the calcium provided information, rather than the quantity of calcium in the capsules when making your comparisons. Vitamin D3 is important, as your body cannot absorb calcium without it. Be aware, however, that D3 is a fat soluble vitamin, which means it builds up in your system if you are consuming too much. You do not necessarily need to take D3 at the same time as a calcium supplement. If you are getting your vitamin D3 from another source, consider carefully if you need your calcium supplements with additional D3, or not. Ideally, speak with your GP, or if you are under the care of a dietitian, speak with them about your needs. Supplements are not a one size fits all solution, and too much of the wrong vitamins or minerals can make you ill. You should really consult a medical professional if you are considering taking, or believe you may need to take vitamin and/or mineral supplements. Please, don't take what wellness sites and "Influencers" state at face value. Many of them absolutely do not have your best interests at heart, and some are spreading completely false information.

I take 2 of these daily with a glass of water, 1 before breakfast and 1 before dinner. They are capsules and not tablets and are very easy to swallow. They also have the added benefit of vitamin D which helps your body to absorb the calcium. I've recently found out that we also need vitamin K if we are taking calcium to protect our bodies and ensure the benefits. They are just part of my daily routine and I believe they really help. My fingers used to ache sometimes but not since taking these. They are also vegetarian which suits me. Wouldn't be without them.

Top quality but a bit pricey

Item arrived on time. I have been trying calcium pills for a while and they are always huge and hard to swallow. These on the other hand are very easy and with the added benefit of vitamin D. I would highly recommend these. Very good price too.

This supplement is amazing and I have been taking it for a very long time and will never skip a month's supply! I am 74 yrs old and have no problems with my bones. I am very mobile and can still rum with ease. I suffer from Vit D3 deficiency so this is also good as it provides me with as much as I need. I live in sheltered housing and have recommended this supplement to all the residents who are using walking aides or wheelchairs.

Ich nehme ZENement Calciumcitrat mit Vitamin D3 und K2 nun seit einiger Zeit und bin mit dem Produkt sehr zufrieden. Für mich ist es eine sinnvolle Ergänzung zur Unterstützung der Knochen und des Mineralstoffhaushalts, gerade in Kombination mit Vitamin D und K. Positiv fällt zuerst die Zusammensetzung auf: Es wird gut bioverfügbares Calcium in Form von Calciumcitrat verwendet, kombiniert mit Vitamin D3 und Vitamin K2 (MK‑7). Diese Kombination ist genau das, was man sich für eine sinnvolle Calcium‑Supplementierung wünscht, weil D3 die Aufnahme unterstützt und K2 dafür sorgt, dass das Calcium eher in den Knochen landet und nicht in den Gefäßen „falsch abgelagert“ wird. Wer gezielt etwas für Knochen, Gelenke und einen sinnvollen Calcium‑D‑K‑Mix tun möchte und dabei Wert auf eine klare, additive‑arme Rezeptur legt, bekommt hier meiner Meinung nach ein sehr gutes Produkt. Von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung.
