She's a big fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. This pendant was very cheap in price and I figured that it would look like really cheap toy jewelry...possibly something that would get a laugh and be tossed out. I was expecting gold colored plastic that would look and feel really awful. It turns out that she really likes it and even wore it out. The pendant is made of some sort of metal - not plastic - and while it is gold paint, the gold is very shiny (at least for now). It is actually much nicer than I expected and could be worn by a kid as part of a costume or just for fun. I don't know that the chain will survive long and most likely the gold paint will come off the pendant...but it also makes a good decorative item for a kid's room. It does take a while to arrive, since it was shipped from China by mail. Review: Coolest piece of jewelry I own - I love this movie so much. It is a little heavy if your neck isn't used to it. The color is just like the movie. The detail is incredible.
