003 Professional Hair Clippers for Men with Clipper Trimmer Set, Gold

I personally love the feel of it in my hand the weight of the Clippers is very nice. The power that it produces is also exceptional and what I was looking for to trim my husband's hair and giving him a fade. It also comes with multiple guides/ different lengths to attach to the blade. I'm very pleased, my husband is very pleased as well with this purchase. It's for a great price as well. It's like getting a professional haircut at home. It comes with blade oil which is very important for lubricating the blades. Always oil your blade up prior to using it, lubricating the blades keeps the blade in good condition as well as keeping it from tugging your hair while cutting. We have not had that issue. Goes through his hair like a knife through butter. It also is not as loud as other Clippers that we have had previously. It has a good battery life, overall it's been a great value for our money. I've read that you can also fit other blades on the clipper too. I have not done that but I read that you can so that's a plus I'd say, even though the blade that is on it, works perfectly fine.

Had a cordless Oster that the battery took a crap. Returned that and bought this. It’s been going strong for at least 6 months. I shave my head pretty short but not razor short. This does a great job and the battery is still strong.

I have these clippers for over a year now and it’s still running smooth and efficient. It does tend to heat up a little bit if you keep it on for a long period of time, but I have a spray that cools the blades down which I recommend.

Not only does it have a comfortable grip and smooth [ie, not overly vibrating/violent or loud] operation, but it has extremely clean cutting. This clipper made the cutting so effortless that I got done with my self-cut in half the usual time, and with a lot more comfort during the process. Honestly, it was so smooth that hair just fell off as if by magic, but despite that the cuts were even and accurate, and easy to control. The taper's smooth to operate during cuts, as well (a bit too much so, honestly, I found myself forgetting I'd adjusted it just because the lack of hassle made it that forgettable; But that's something easy to get used to with further cuts). After a full cut, there was no detectable heat on the clippers. Duriung cuts the guards are firm and stable for even cuts, and remain fully secured without issue. Outside of cuts, the guards clip on and remove quite effortlessly. The box and all components seem high quality both in appearance and function, and even the included hand comb is better quality than expected. Really, all around excellent clippers (and *far* superior in quality to the dozen+ Remington, Braun, Wahl, and Phillis/Norelco razors, clippers, and/or trimmers I've tested in recent months- even those retailling for two to three times the cost of these clippers). Only possible criticism is that the guards stop at 12MM (0.47 inches), and for self-cuts it's a lot easier to rely more on the guards than on comb measurement (my preferred cut is 28MM, after all), so it'd be nice to see them expand their guard range to around twice the current selection (eg, by offering supplementary guards as a seperate purchase).

Brand is pretty good. Especially for the Price. I bought the clippers/trimmers/foil shaver. Haven't used the clippers yet but I expect they are good as the foil shaver. Clips seem a little weak but can easily be replaced.

I leike the product; its weight, size n it does a very good job.

J'ai acheté cette tondeuse à la suite d'une autre plus chère et médiocre et je suis pleinement satisfait. -bruit modéré et supportable -lame qui ne chauffe pas -affichage du niveau de batterie -autonomie satisfaisante -prix très compétitif Seul point négatif pour moi ; il manque des sabots de coupe plus haut. Le plus long étant 12mm , j'avais jusqu'à présent l'habitude d'avoir des tondeuse avec des hauteurs de coupes jusqu'à 25mm.

I have been a Wahl clipper guy for several decades. I have never owned a different brand. My most recent pair of Wahl Elite Pro clippers was almost 6 years old and cut exactly the same as they did on the day I opened their package, and I think part of that performance and longevity was due to my ritualistic use of clipper oil after each hair cut. Sadly just after I finished cutting my hair three weeks ago I dropped them on my tile floor, and now the already extremely loud Elite Pro's were making a very strange noise when I turned the clippers on. Upon measurement the noise from the clippers was in excess of 95 decibels, which is a highly unsafe amount of noise. So I needed to replace them. I have loved almost everything about my Wahl Elite Pro's: the powerful motor, the classic form factor and the premium clipper guards are all outstanding features of these venerable clippers. However all was not perfect: the amount and volume of the noise coming from the motor has always annoyed me, and I really hate the power cord getting tangled upon itself, me and everything in between. I have always thought the Elite Pro's were very loud clippers, and I guess I just assumed most other clippers were that loud. It has been probably 20 years since I got my hair cut by someone else, so I had little else to compare them to. So I began perusing the internet for new clippers. The one feature I wanted was to eliminate the power cord, which is easy enough to do. Beyond that, there are so many brands out there that it can be daunting to find a good quality pair of clippers. I browsed many different forums for barbers and self hair cutting, and two names kept coming up: JRL and VGR. JRL makes a very distinctive looking pair of clippers with some niche features that matter to barbers mostly, with price tags to match their target audience. The cheapest I have found for a pair of their clippers is around £140, which seems like a whole lot of money for a pair of clippers when I am just going to cut my hair in my bathroom every couple of weeks. That is when I found out about the brand VGR. VGR makes what appear to be clones of JRL clippers and trimmers. Seriously, they look exactly the same, save the different colour schemes available. I would not be surprised to find they are made in the same factory because the styling is so unique. After reading a ton of forum posts about how good the VGR clippers are, I decided to take a chance. The VGR 003 clippers have some great features: really unique looking styling, it has a motor that goes up to 9,000RPM, which is higher than most other clippers that stop at 7,000RPM, and they are both lightweight and feel quite solid & premium in your hands. As an added bonus, Wahl clipper guards will fit the VGR 003, though they rattle just a bit and their own brand clipper guard fits more snugly. The most amazing feature in my opinion is how quiet they are: I measured them at around 72 decibels while running at 9,000RPM one inch from the microphone. They are very quiet indeed. The VGR 003 clippers feel great in your hand. Due to their unique shape I had thought they might be a bit unwieldy, but that is not the case. The angular clippers really feel nice, and they feel far more premium than their price belies. While using the clippers for the first time, I really noticed how much quieter they were than the Wahl Elite Pro clippers, and the cutting performance was first rate. I enjoyed using them so much that I am now going to look into their matching hair trimmers. One final note to let you know you aren't purchasing a boring pair of mass-market Wahls: opening the box that contains the clippers feels the same as when you open the box for a nice mobile phone: premium. Everything about the VGR 003 screams premium, except the price.
