Absolutely beautiful
Purchased this and was super excited to make it into โThe Pink Palace.โ (Coraline house) I can say it was perfect. The instructions were a little confusing at the beginning and it seemed flimsy but once you start connecting everything it came together beautifully!

Very cheaply made
I bought 2 of these and put them together with my daughter. These are just sheets of thin cheap wood that are very easy to break. The instructions are in Chinese so you have to figure out how to put these together without instructions, which resulted in us having to take the dollhouse apart multiple times. Some of the pieces aren't cut correctly So they don't fit right. The kit does not come with glue, but you will need glue. Because some of the pieces aren't cut correctly and won't stay together. I wouldn't buy this again, it was a waste of money.

Very easy to assemble
Very fun little kit. Some trim aspects require glue, but the main structure is held together through interlocking tabs and slots, making it a very easy piece to put together in a few hours. The images show plain wood, but some pieces have been printed a variety of simple colours to help set similar pieces apart. The colours (red, orange, and blue) donโt really go together, and make up a small portion of the house itself, with the base of the structure being bare wood. Painting this house with typical acrylic craft paints will take multiple coats. I used two coats of acrylic gesso to prime the wood, and still took 3-4 coats of paint on top of it. The tabs that hold the kit together stick out quite a bit. They create some awkward edges, and if the house is intended to be played with by children after, means it is very flimsy and easily broken. This kit is not difficult to convert to being glued together by cutting and sanding most of the tabs. The cover information is written almost entirely in Chinese, however the instructions are simply diagrams of the individual pieces and their placement within the sprews. However, the cover contains several images from a variety of angles, and is not difficult to understand with patience. Young children will need help, however. Overall, very fun project. I elected to cut the tabs off and glue the pieces together, and after assembly and painting, the house took about two days to build.

Nice project, poor instructions
This is a really fun project. The instructions are minimal, but there is a great video tutorial if you search for "gothic dollhouse tutorial." Some tips: Make sure to have on hand: (1) an exacto knife; (2) some wood glue; and (3) some sand paper (ours didn't come with any). Also, if you are going to paint your dollhouse, it is best to paint the pieces before you've assembled them, but do NOT paint them before you punch them out of the boards. We learned the hard way that painting them makes it very hard to punch them out without breaking them. Also, make sure you do not get paint into the holes or on the tabs, because the paint makes it very hard to put together, and you'll spend a lot more time sanding the tabs down and cutting them with exacto knives. Otherwise, this was a lot of fun, and our 4-year-old got really into building it with us (adult assistance is definitely required).

This wears my patience thin with all of the splintering wood.
I was careful and sanded the surfaces. I even used a wood carving tool to help in removing some pieces that were stuck. This is not my first time working with a wood craft. This is not for children since I don't see it sturdy enough for playing with. I would recommend this as a display piece. I understand this is a puzzle. I scanned the guide page onto my computer and some of the numbers were still difficult to read, especially in the furniture page. I found a video on youtube about a similar model house that helped me build. I was going to give this as a gift to someone but I have to do a large amount of preparation before I finally decide if I can give it to them. Some furniture pieces are slightly larger than I would like but I think I can alter them. The bed for example is too large (takes up over half a room). I plan to cut it in half and make a daybed. Don't give this to a beginner. It might totally turn them off the joyful hobby of dollhouses. If you decide to try it, wear goggles and use fine/medium sand paper. I enjoy a challenge but I would not buy this kit again. Two stars because it's visually nice to look at once it's done and one because It has all the pieces needed.

The Cutest Dollhouse DIY
This dollhouse was very easy to build.I enjoyed putting it together. It is a very cute house. The furniture was harder to assemble. The lock time design is very sturdy. Not wobbly at all.I painted the round window frames purple and dormer frame and all 6 of the half round bay windows.I left the rest the all natural wood.Very contrasting.I am almost finished with the roof left to assemble.I love it!

Furniture and house are not the same scale.
I have worked with 1:12 scale dolls house before, so I have some experience in building. The issues with this one is thin wood. Many pieces needed to be trimmed to fit. The furniture is too large to use. I doubt I will ever try a kit such as this again. Once finished it did look cute, but took more effort than it should have.

Puzzle or house?
The house is easy to put together although some pieces do not wood glue added for permanency. There were no instructions that I could read cause they were only in another language so I had to put it together by myself with trial and error. But loved it anyway as I adore puzzles.

The kit does not include what is advertised
There are no lights or DIY kits, only the wooden house and furniture. This matches the pictures but not the title or description.
