Good Buy For Needed Filters
Agfa is a trademark used under license by Zeikos, a marketer of photo accessories. These filters are not made in Germany, but in China using Japanese optics. A few other brands like Bower do the same thing.Every lens should have a UV or Sky filter attached at all times to protect the front element. Own five lenses? You should own five such filters. Enough said. For outdoor photography, polarizing filters darken blue sky while leaving white clouds almost as bright. The effect is amazing. Polarizing filters allow one to vary ocean color among various shades of blue to green. And change the transparency of a stream from opaque to seeing the bed. Circular polarizers (CPLs) work the same as linear polarizers, except the former can be used on auto-focus cameras while the latter may not.I have not used the warming intensifier, but it seems just the ticket for simulating sunset lighting on an indoor shoot. Or really intensifying an actual sunset! One word of warning: no filter in the set is multi-coated. Now since colored filters, including polarizers, reduce light transmission anyways, the benefits of multi-coating are not as intense. But since a UV filter is designed to be as transparent as possible, the benefits of multi-coating are more noticeable.I mention this because you may be able to purchase an Agfa multi-coated UV filter along with some non-multi-coated CPL for about the same price of this kit. Or an Agfa multi-coated UV and multi-coated CPL for a little bit more. All that to say that if the intensifier and filter case are not important to you, perhaps you would get better value buying these filters separately.Four stars for a good value. If the included UV filter was multi-coated, I would have given the kit five stars.

Great Value For The Price!
I was looking for a 77mm Circular Polarizing filter when I ran across this kit and decided to try it out. Shortly afterward I read a comment by a pro photographer stating that a lens is only as good as the best piece of glass in/on the lens, one should never put a $20 filter on a $1000 lens as it will degrade the photos taken. I decided to run a short "un-scientific" test so I mounted my Canon EF f/2.8L 70mm-200mm lens on my Canon Rebel XSi, then mounted all an a tripod. I then took 16 shots at a focal length of 195 mm, two with the UV filter and two without at the following f-stops, f2.8, f8, f16 and f32, all shots being taken using a wireless remote to prevent any vibration. i then viewed the shots in Canon's Digital Photo professional it the following views, 50%, 100% and 200%. The only shots that showed any discernible difference to my eye were the 100% and 200% views taken at the f2.8 setting and that minor difference was in the focus, the shots taken with the filter were not quite as sharp. Don't know whether this could be because of the shallow depth of field or not. As I have ordered the same set only in the 52mm size, I will be more able to compare the shallow depth of field shots when I "test" them on my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II when the kit is delivered. All in all, so far I am pleased with the kit and knowing now where there might be some limitation will help me to take precautions. I will add that the lens case that comes with the kit is nice as well, providing convenient storage and protection in my camera bag.Received the 52mm filters and ran the same "test", the difference being I used the EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens and took the shots at f1.8, f4, f8, f16 and f32. This time, there was no discernible difference in any of the shots. As this is my lens of choice for portraits and boudoir shooting I am very pleased. Will post any updates once I start shooting using flash units.

Excellent price and service; mediocre product
Big Mike sold and delivered the filters just fine. Highly recommended the seller. Can't say the same for the filters. Even though Agfa has long been a stalwart brand in photography for over a century , these filters are mediocre at best. About all I can say good about them is they come with a great little filter pouch , and they fit smoothly and snuggly on the lens. But optically , they are marginal at best. The UV clear filter provides physical protection of the front element of a pricey lens, but lack of fine polishing and multicoating causes this filter to " flare" easily...spurious reflections and loss of contrast when strong light source is in the view area or just outside it. The circular polarizer is absolutely the weakest polarizer I have ever seen...it barely polarizes at all. It also adds a perceptible warm-yellowish tint to the the image. Polarizers are supposed to be neutral grey . This Agfa is not. I have no use for the warming filter , since DSLR digital cameras already do what it does... warm the image when desired ( it's much easier to quickly change a camera setting than remove a large lens hood to swap filters ). Haven't even put the warming filter on the lens.Having said all that , any single brand name 86mm filter, such as American made Tiffens, will cost twice as much alone as all three of these filters cost together.I will soon be replacing the UV and Circular Polarizer with better glass, at a cost of $ 125.00 give or take . These Agfa's will do for now...barely.Big Mike's provided excellent price and service , as they have in the past. I've bought from them before and will continue to do so.

Nice set of filters for the price.
The filters have metal threads which fit securely onto the lens. They were packaged well and in perfect condition (no marks on the glass). The pouch supplied is really handy, it can hold six filters. A word of warning when removing the filters from their plastic sleeves: The sleeves are stuck down with an adhesive strip. There is a risk of getting this adhesive onto the filter when removing it from the sleeve. Opening the flap and folding it over to cover the adhesive prevents this.

A good buy
I just wanted some filters at a sensible price and these fit the bill perfectly. They are well made and should last a very long time so I am very satisfied.

Top Filter - Top Preis
