With great care, this can last longer than most costume jewelry you may have on hand. For best results always remove when applying sunblock, lotion, perfume, body spray, insect repellent, doing the dishes, going swimming, bathing, working out to avoid ruining the gold filling and help preserve the quality for much longer. Wipe down with a soft cloth after each use. On an as-needed basis only you can hand wash this with mild soap and water with a soft toothbrush scrub and rinse dry with a soft cloth right away to avoid ruining the bracelet which could corrode or oxidize prematurely if it stays in contact with fluids too long. Do not let this soak in liquids. Makes a lovely gift for pre-teens, teens, and adults for Birthdays, Valentines, Christmas, and other types of special occasions. This bracelet is attractive, but it is a bit large. I have slender wrists. I hooked it on the tightest loop and the chain hung far down my wrist, which is a bit awkward. The clasp works well and the chain design is nice. It is not as dainty as I thought it would be, but has a sturdier look to it because of that. The case the bracelet came in is a really cool case and can be used for other things as well as the bracelet. The clear plasticky material of the case will stretch out to hold and display even larger items.
