It's helping him learn where his feet need to be for pedaling and is good practice. Haven't tried it yet but these will be excellent for burning some energy on a rainy day. Couldn't be easier to set up. You just set the training wheels in the bike. I did put a towel down under the front tire so it wouldn't mark up the floor if he turns the handlebars. Super sturdy, didn't slip on our laminate floor at all. Great price, recommend!
