Attractive functional good value Chinese knives
I researched for weeks before buying these, mainly because I won’t buy something that pretends to be something it’s not. These are Chinese not Japanese. Who knows where the steel was made. But they are well made and feel like carbon steel. And with that comes the usual compromise of brittleness, so you can’t be careless, and more frequent sharpening compared to say German steels, just like the Japanese equivalent. But the blade will take a sharp edge readily and is sharp on arrival - I know this because I got a deep cut just touching the boning knife blade taking the legs off the turkey. I find the knives lighter than expected; the balance is great though. Probably all knife handle shapes take getting used to and need a particular cutting technique. The damascus is real not laser etched and shows up well. It adds to the genuine attractiveness of the product, along with the olive wood handles, which are comfortable and likely to mature nicely. Again though, leave them in water and you’ll pay the price. You will need to carefully wash and immediately dry these knives every time. They are good enough to deserve it. Overall these don’t look quite as good as the best Japanese knives. The materials probably aren’t quite as good. But the price is a fraction of those comparators. You are getting great looking very functional knives for a reasonable price. All that is lacking is the cachet and maybe a certain amount of performance. A purist will want those things. Do you need them? If I get problems in the first 12 months such as the handle breaking or splitting or the blades rusting or notching despite care, I will update this post.

Great all round knife
Used for a number of months edge is still in very good shape and still very sharp. Has a very nice weight and blade thickness for most uses.

Excellent quality
Bought these for my partner as was fed up using blunt poor quality knives. I use Shun knives generally which are excellent but very expensive so these seemed a good option to try. Quality is excellent clearly “proper” Damascus steel and not just laser etched as many are. Cutting performance is also excellent and as any good knife it should be sharpened frequently to maintain its edge luckily it included a sharpening steel so no excuse not to have a superbly sharp knife to hand. The olive wood handles are a good addition giving a beautiful look and grippy in the hand even when wet and the knife Blocagain adds to the overall feeling you get if quality. A comment for some of the other reviews on retaining sharpness of the knives if you look after them eg use a decent chopping board and use the sharpening steel supplied as part of the set the knives stay as sharp as a razor blade and you will not be disappointed Conclusion- superb knife set for people who want a really good cost effective solution.

Gorgeous Knives – Great Quality for the Price
I received these as a Christmas gift from my husband, and after using them consistently for six weeks, I feel like I can give a solid review. First off, they are stunning. The Damascus pattern is beautiful, and the wooden handles give them such an elegant, high-end feel. They look amazing on my counter, and honestly, they just make cooking feel more enjoyable. Performance-wise, they cut smoothly and feel well-balanced in hand. I do find myself needing to sharpen them fairly often, but that could be completely normal—I’m not a knife expert. That said, they still hold up well for everyday cooking. If you’re looking for aesthetic, sharp, and functional knives that don’t break the bank, these are a great choice. Would recommend!

Quality Nakiri knife
I'm really pleased with this knife. The handle is comfortable and the knife feels and is quality. The damascus procedure has produced a nice pattern in the metalwork. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this knife

Sharp. Long and thin.
Very sharp. Long and thin, perfect for changing direction when cutting. Arrives sharp. But requires maintenance to maintain sharpness, nonetheless, it maintains sharpness for a long time. Cant use magnetic holder, very heavy handle, curved with not much blade width to hold well on magnet which may slip.
