Question 1

Hi!
Does the Cam work in a totally dark room?

Accepted Answer

Hi Sunshine Bob,

Thank you for the inquiry! The Bravia cam will need some light to function properly. For the cleanest Bravia Cam picture possible, please use a nearby lamp and/or ceiling lights.

Connect the Sony BRAVIA CAM to your BRAVIA XR TV and enjoy television like never before. BRAVIA CAM recognizes where you are in the room and how far you are from the TV, then adjusts sound and picture settings so they're just right. This means audio - including dialog - is clearer and more immersive with picture brightness tailored to your viewing environment

Regards,
David

Question 3

Is this comparable with my XR55A80J? I purchased it in July 2021.

Accepted Answer

Hi Brian, thank you for your question. Sony 2022 TV models X80K and up will be compatible to use with BRAVIA CAM (CMU-BC1). You can enjoy video chat with friends and family on the big screen. Other features including Ambient Optimization Pro, Gesture control, Proximity Alert, and Auto Power Saving Mode.

In addition, The A80J doesn't have a built-in camera. However, you can connect a supported camera to the Google TV with a USB cable to use it as a webcam.

Hope this helps.
Erin

Question 4

Q: Is this compatible with the sony xr77a80ck from costco?

Accepted Answer

Hi William, thanks for your question. Great news! Yes, this Optional Camera and Microphone Unit (CMUBC1) is compatible with xr77a80ck.

BRAVIA CAM recognizes where you are in the room and how far you are from the TV, then adjusts sound and picture settings so they're just right.
