Is it safe for color treated hair?

Yes, absolutely,   I have used a bit of it every time I wash my highlighted/colored hair.  I shampoo with it first, then I second shampoo with my Nioxin for thinning hair.  Have been doing this for years.  It doesn't harm any color.
