Works just like it's described.
When I received it, it felt like it light was cheaply made. Even after I turned it on, I thought the air flow wasn't spectacular. However, I think it is exceeding my expectations. My Alienware M17 laptop from 7 years ago is known for over heating. I use it for my golf simulator and it overheated to the point it needed a full restore. What this cooling pad does is give the bottom of the laptop more space while providing it cooler air to pull in. Not rocket science. There is a youtube video out there where a guy does a thermal test showing the corners of the laptop cooling off to a blue tint and the center had a large reduction in red. That is exactly what I am feeling with my laptop. Almost cold back corners and cooler center. I would recommend. I havent tried other brands, so there might be cheaper options. When the fan is on higher levels, it is somewhat loud and understandably so. It doesnt bother me for what I am using it for though.

Can't get any better!
I was having problems with my MSI GE66 gaming laptop over heating and not able to run my games. With this cooling fan just set on half way, it keeps my laptop cool to the touch, and I do not even have to run the laptops internal fans. It is quieter than my laptop's fans and has a ton of RGB lighting options if you like that.

Great product!
The fan is a little loud but this thing is amazing. It is packaged nicely and the product feels very nice quality. The foam seal works great and you get virtually no air leakage so it all get forced into your laptop.

Does not cool the laptop enough for outdoor events
I had an outdoor event. It was about 90° outside. The fan could not keep up with the weather. My laptop still got warm and had issues was hoping that it would cool my laptop at warm outdoor events unfortunately that was not the case.

A laptop cooler that definitely will cool your laptop (please dust your laptop first though)
This is the only brand I trust with laptop cooling. This cooler forms a minor seal with its foam forces a large amount of airflow through the exposed vents on the underside of the laptop. Unlike many scammy laptop coolers on the market, this one has managed to noticeably cool laptops I've handled that have swelling battery, inappropriate screw tightening of the motherboard by technicians after opening the laptop, or old hot chips. Since this does work by shoving lots of airflow through the underside of the laptop, please make sure your laptop has good amount of bottom vents. You will still need to dust the inside of your laptop very 6 months if you haven't already prior to purchasing this, but since this comes with a dust filter, it helps with reducing dust accumulation for your laptop. The removable dust filter is not that easy to wash, but this brand does sell replacement dust filter for an overpriced fee.

Poor quality control, major differences between two units
I've bought this twice for two different laptops. Don't really notice a temp difference of any substance unless I really ramp up the fan speed to nearly intolerable levels. That said, it does "raise" the laptops which I needed anyway, so whatever. Biggest issue is that the first one I bought goes to 2800rpm and operates without issue. The second one, however, only maxes out at 1600rpm, randomly turns itself on and off, randomly changes fan speed and most often the +/- buttons do not register inputs. All in all, the first one would have gotten 4 stars by itself, the second 1 star, so I guess 2 overall is fair.

Overall a decent choice
I wanted to leave this review after using this laptop cooler for a few months. Hopefully this is helpful for those of you on the fence. The product doesn't come with much in the instructions if that is something that is important to you. Not that they are exactly necessary, but that is something to consider. I have a Lenovo 7i Legion laptop. It's a fairly large laptop, and it is able to produce a lot of heat when the NVidia graphics card is being used. Because of this I wanted to find a cooling pad that could help mitigate heat buildup without having to undervolt the PC. This cooler has been recommended by multiple online communities as being one of the best. The form factor is just fine. It's slight larger than my laptop in length and width, and the fit up for the bottom works great. There are some additional foam padding that I assume would be used if you have a smaller laptop. The weight is not an issue but it is quite lite and shouldn't be an issue. As far as functionality this cooler works quite well. You can change the fan RPM depending on your needs. This is useful as this is a powerful cooler and at higher speeds it can get loud if that is a concern. Most of the time setting this at 1000 is enough to keep my laptop at temperatures that I am comfortable with. If I'm using some graphic intensive software or doing some gaming I can bump the speed up to handle the additional heat. The one thing that I do not like about this cooler is the interface, and is also the reason for 3 stars. The buttons to turn the power on or off, and increase or decrease fan speed are membrane buttons. But they do not work well at all. Turning this on or off can get frustrating as pressing the indicated membrane section does not work. I generally have to press and slide my finger around to engage the button, which you can not feel, to get it to work. I feel that on a cooler that has the price tag this does the buttons should work better, and be where they are indicated on the unit. Overall I think this is a pretty good value for the money paid. Besides the buttons not working as they should, the cooler performs great. As mentioned previously the unit is a bit on the loud side, but that is to be expected with the airflow it is able to produce. If you need a high amount of cooling airflow this is the perfect companion for your PC, if you don't need that much performance you can likely get by with a cheaper unit that is on the quite side.

Useful
It's nice and quiet and it's keeping me cool. But I do wish it was more obvious that, after you've turned it on, you can double tap the power button to enable or disable the beep when you press a button. You have to long press the power button to turn it on & off. This isn't a big deal, but when you've lost the manual it's kinda important to know and a bit hard to find that info again.

Great addition
This is my first laptop cooler. I have been weary of them for several years now as I keep reading about how they are useless or they have little effect. This is simply misleading. This cooler has made at least a 30% difference in frame rates for my FPS games: Hell Let Loose at max settings runs now at 40-50 frames when running low…When running high-fan running full speed-I’m getting 60-80 frames (even higher)per second and my laptop, which is an M15 R3 is nowhere near as hot as it used to get…It LITERALLY used to get that hot that the keys could almost sting me from heat generation. The only “regret” I have is not getting this sooner. I have read some negative reviews regarding this particular model and I’m sure the people writing those reviews are genuine; But I can only speak from my own experience and am so grateful I pulled the trigger on this model as it has made a significant difference to my gaming experience. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my Gigabyte G5. Using my older laptop cooling pad, my core temperatures while gaming would hover around 80-90 degree C. Under heavy load, I would see spikes in temperature near 95c. Using this fan on a lower setting 600-800rpm of the available 1600rpm keeps my temperatures down around 70-80c. It is pretty loud, but that is the tradeoff for moving a lot of air. I would recommend a headset for any fan settings over 600 rpm. Having said that I would rather use a headset and not be able to fry eggs on my keyboard. Definitely recommend.
