After trying to drill the holes larger and use a real wood screw, the ceramic type housing cracked. I successfully mounted the magnet to my bed frame by using Gorilla Glue. Then drilling through the frame and using stainless steel wire to secure it. The magnet will not hold a Large Frame Handgun.I use it with a LCP. Now I have a permanently mounted mounted Junk Magnet to my Bed Frame.
