It screwed on easily with no cross-threading. • Leak-Proof Seal: It comes with a thick rubber washer already seated in the female end. Hand-tightening was enough to create a perfect seal—zero drips on my basement floor. • Durability: The hose is flexible enough to maneuver around corners but thick enough that it doesn’t kink easily. I got one of the saddle type air conditioners that have the drain on the inside. (I don’t know who thought that was a good idea or why) I hoped this would divert it outside. The seal is good. No leaks, but it doesn’t work right cause there’s not enough water pressure to push it up and out. I like the air conditioner, and got it cause of the efficiency and because I felt it was the only kind I could handle myself. I wish this solved that one issue, but it’s not due to a flaw in the hose. Thank you!

Great hose material, quality construction, and a larger ID than the hose it replaced- which is the one in plentiful supply in big box stores around me- and cheaper too. It’s flexible enough that it’s easy to work with, but rigid enough that a couple of zip ties around it to hold it in place didn’t pinch or crush the hose. It came in a sealed pouch with a really large roll of teflon tape and even had an extra rubber washer for the hose fitting. So far, it’s doing its job with no leaks or other problems to report. I am really happy with this item and I’d buy it again.

Worked well for about a year. The brass-to-steel connector seemed to have corroded/disconnected and started leaking big time.
