easy to use, and the more modern the car the better the results you get....
For me, the best thing about this tool is the ability to CLEAR codes after you have done your fixes, so you can see if the codes come back. The newer the car the more information you can get on the tool (that's not the fault of the tool, that's the fault of the older cars). It's a very cheap tool but you get a huge amount of bangs for your bucks - something equivalent 5-10 years ago would have cost 10-20 times the price (yep - that's no exaggeration - the price of this technology really has dropped that much). The software update was a little fiddly (it came with the previous years software), but it's not the end of the world if you don't update the software.Overall it is VERY simple to use though the instruction manual isn't the greatest (download the PDF from their website, it's easier to read - and if you don't understand the OBDII concepts then do some research on the web, it's certainly not rocket science...).This tool found 9 fault codes on a friend's Fiat Abarth Hot Hatch, but by doing some googling we managed to fix 8 of them very simply (do the remedial work, clear the codes, go for a drive and see if the codes come back - 4 of the fault codes were actually only due to a knackered car battery). Therefore when my friend subsequently took the car to the dealership, they only over-charged him for 1 fix, instead of 9!Note: if you have a much older car (eg 2008 Vauxhall Vectra C) the car will only tell the OBDII Reader tool about the absolute minimum diagnostics (as required by the OBDII international standards) - if you have a much more modern car (recent VW Golf) then you can see diagnostics on more than a 100 different things (including if it thinks you have a slightly flat tyre....).Why did I buy this particular make/model of OBDII Reader tool?* a friend who is into cars recommended it and said it was much better than his 3 year old £200 tool* there was a discount offer on Amazon!* it's apparently recommended by a chap called Scotty Kilmer (who is apparently the most famous mechanic on YouTube)

Works a treat
I was not convinced the problem was the £200 mass air filter as AA diagnosed .Decided to buy this (have mechanical background) plugged it in turned out to be a £15 map sensor fitted new one turned engine light off now runs light new motor saved £140 for Hyundai to plug it in & £145!hr labour & £80 genuine part . Jobs a good un .

Does what it says.
It cleared the spurious warning. Usually £60 to get checked at a garage. If you have more than 1 car it invaluable. Easy to use.

Reads some sensors
It's cheep and cheerful, dose not see error codes saying my cruise control is down, my friends more expensive code reader can see it, and I know it's down as the clock spring wire is broken. It can see my maf, map, coolant temp, rev's, egr, speed but not a lot else, it says it can reset errors but not able to test that at present.

Very good and easy to use
Great tool if you want to find a fault code and it helped us find out the exact injector that was faulty.
