This is so important!!!*** A relative of mine thought she had time before she needed to have the period talk with her daughter, who ended up getting her first period at only age 10 - totally confused and freaked out. This experience, plus the fact that girls are getting them sooner on average (even as young as 8!), made me want to prepare my own daughter (who is currently 8) so she wasn't totally blindsided whenever her time came. This book has thought of everything, and I'm quite impressed. It allowed us to go over the basics together. She had a million questions, lol. But I'm so glad I could be the one to answer them. I appreciate how this book is VERY HONEST and does not hold back, yet remains age-appropriate (in my opinion). I suggest moms/guardians take a look first to make sure you agree. Personally, I think it's so well written. (No talk of "gender identity" either, which is honestly refreshing nowadays.) I highly recommend this!!!!
