7" Uconnect Touch Screen Compatible with 2017-2020 Jeep Compass LCD Monitor

Just received and installed. This itself was easy. The process itself was easy but a pain. So that's not in the product. Will likely update if something happens, but straight out the gate freaking stoked after not having it for a few years. Looks good, clean image. Came super protected and seemed like an exact replacement. Would recommend doing this and looking up a video on YouTube. Saves you a ton of money. As someone who has the capability but is terrified of diy vehicle electronics. It's super easy! 💅 You will need a t9 and t6 screw it.

This unit was an exact replacement for the defective screen that had to replace. Easy to install with the right tools.

I'm relatively handy so thankfully I came across the reviews which were very helpful. I have a 2019 Jeep Compass and the heat in AZ fried the screen. Dealer wanted over $1000 to replace it. The YouTube video I watched was very helpful even though my unit wasn't exactly like the one in the video. It can get confusing so take video of yourself or take pics as you take it apart so it's easier to put back together. The hardest part was cutting the glue that holds the screen in place. Once that is done the screen breaks free. Then scrape away the dried glue, put fresh glue, and put screen back. I did the whole thing in less than 90 mins. Also, purchase mold and trim tools which look like little plastic pry bars to remove the trim ring and vents without scratching or denting the trim.

I've had this for months and it has been working flawlessly. The display quality and touch screen functionality is just as good as the original. If you've tinkered with electronics before, installation isn't very difficult. My biggest issue was getting the trim out of the way. Check YouTube videos for instructions -- you really have to put some force into it. The only issue I had was the first one was DOA. I thought I might have a bad head unit, but to my relief, the second worked without issue.

This product is falsely advertised to be compatible with Jeep compass for screen replacement, however that’s not true. The screen does not come with a bracket, which is required to be connected to the screen. A screen alone is not compatible. Very frustrating and waste of time.
